Since the age of 16, I have a strong inclination towards brands, especially in clothing. This can be attributed to me being a woman too. One of my favorite clothing brands are Allen Solly, Van Heusen, and Pantaloons. I still remember the first leather jacket which was gifted by my elder brother when I was in the first year of my under graduation to the recent birthday gift I received this June, were both from Allen Solly. The above-mentioned brands were a key component of my life during the transition phase of me being a girl to being an independent woman today.
In my second year of graduation, I had my knee dislocated. And its impact lasted for a year. I couldn’t walk properly, and climbing stairs was just a dream at that time. This made me introduce to the brand PEOPLE. It has the most comfortable shoes which I ever tried. For that one year, the brand was my best friend. I carried the shoes with anything and everything I wore. And the best part about the shoes was that they were trendy and comfortable at the same time. Since that phase of my life to this phase in MBA, when I run every morning to just reach the class on time, this brand has never broken my trust.
Nobody can ever forget the first job of his/her life and the struggles behind getting that job. It was the year 2017 when I was in the final year of my under graduation, companies for on-campus placements were about to visit my college from the next week. After spending days and nights for preparing for the interviews, finally, it was time to prove my mettle to the recruiters. I required formals to appear in the interviews, and I chose Van Heusen for my big day. The rationale behind the same was the brand image of Van Heusen and also my elder sibling’s faith in the brand’s products, their quality, value for money, and best fit. I was introduced to the brand for the first time. I cleared my first interview and landed my first job with Accenture. It was really a very happy and proud moment for me and my family. Since then, I feel that the brand is lucky for me and undoubtedly, it is. From cracking my B-School interview to summer internship interview, Van Heusen was always the constant.
For all those years of pain and joy, the Aditya Birla Group was and is an integral part of my life. And I am thankful to the group for assisting me in bringing all the positive changes in me.
