Preparation I started my preparation by studying the company’s profile. I read about their vision and mission and what they are doing to make sure that whatever they do aligns to their visions & missions. I went through their websites and social media pages to get insights about the company and focus on why I would like to be a part of the company. Interview I had two interview rounds, the Vice President of HR at _VOIS interviewed me in the first round. The interview was focused on getting to know me as a person, what people skills I had, was I able to work in a team, what hobbies I had and a few more questions to judge my personality. I made sure that during the whole interview I made sure I was honest in answering and gave out a confident appeal, as it sends out a message to the interviewer that whatever I was answering was true and there was no false information. The second interview was around an hour long and was more of a stress interview, I was asked a situation based question and needed to answer it with a marketing strategy. For the same question, I was asked to device five marketing strategies. The second question was framed on the outcome that if all the planned marketing strategies failed, then what would be my plan of action for the same. Throughout the interview, I made sure that I had a smile on my face and that I gave all the answers with confidence, even if I was not confident with the answers. Internship Experience Being a fresher it was a completely new experience for me to be working in the corporate culture. I was completely unaware of how things worked and what the 2 months would turn out to be. But the people at _VOIS made sure that all of us felt welcome and they were there to help and provide us with any kind of support anytime. From the beginning, they kept us engaged by conducting various learning sessions and giving us a platform to connect to all the leaders across _VOIS to get to know about their journey and their experiences. My project was Smart Seat Propogation where I was supposed to perform competitive benchmarking of similar products and also connect with the users (in this case the employees) to get their comments about the product and thus generate user engagement for the same while keeping in account the lockdown and all the barriers that have emerged due to COVID-19. In the two months at  _VOIS, I learned more than I expected. I learned the essence of time management as the whole internship was conducted virtually under the circumstances, and it was very difficult to manage both household chores and internship work simultaneously. I understood the importance of networking and how it can help you at various stages of one’s life. Overall, the internship was a great learning experience as it not only gave me a chance to work with industry professionals but also gave me a sneak-peek into what life would look like a few years down the line. A little advice For the students joining this year, my advice would be to not let go of any opportunity, make sure to leave all your past behind and start afresh. Do not be hesitant to do anything or participate in any competition. Always be ready to accept change because as Heraclitus said: “Change is the only constant”.
