India points to the development disparity in climate talks
Indian Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar claimed that developed countries were refusing to shoulder the required responsibility for reduction in emissions and were trying to shift focus on developing countries instead. Talking about the draft released in the on-going Paris Climate Summit, India found support in Brazil and South Africa. Javadekar said the discussions put the perpetrators and victims of the crime at the same level. (LiveMint)

DuPont and Dow Chemicals in merger talks
The proposed merger between DuPont Co and Dow Chemicals in India will create a multi-billion dollar enterprise with expertise in agriculture, infrastructure and research. Given the breadth of scope the two companies operate in, the merger will give rise to a variety of synergies and lead to an R&D giant. (LiveMint)

Why Indian tech companies need not fear Donald Trump
Republican US Presidential candidate Donald Trump has showcased a hardliner policy towards immigrants. He is very vocal about Americans losing jobs to foreigners. In such a scenario, Indian tech firms who receive outsourcing jobs and send coders to US clients, may find going tough. However, Indian tech firms' reliance on enterprise software such as SAP and Oracle is declining as projects move to the cloud. Emerging technologies are providing growing revenues to these firms as their reliance on H1B visas abates. (LiveMint)
