NITIE goes international
Indian organisations are becoming more global and thus, are in the need for managers with global experience. So, the necessity to learn and get acquainted with international management practices have become a necessity more than a luxury. An international exchange program helps to facilitate the flow of ideas and enhance knowledge and skills of students and faculty alike. To help in developing a holistic view among its students, NITIE has involved itself in building relationships with reputed international educational and research institutes. And because of these relationships, NITIE has seen a variety of opportunities culminating in an accord with those organisations.
One of the many instances of such exchanges saw a delegation from the University of Washington, Bothell visited the NITIE campus on 2
nd January, 2015. The delegation consisted of deans and students from visiting institute. The visit aided members from both the host and visiting institutes to know about each other’s culture and practices. The meet was an enriching experience for the students as they got to know about the culture and the experiences of their counterparts aboard.

NITIE also signed a MoU with Ecole-Centrale, Lille, France in February 2015. Prof. Genevieve Dauphin Tanguy and Prof. Zoubeir Lafhaj from the French University visited the NITIE campus to sign the MoU. The MoU is aimed at facilitating joint research activities and student exchange program. The students attending the program have found the program enthralling because of the exposure and opportunities they have gained.
The institute took yet another initiative to give its students global exposure. A Global Classroom Program (GCP) was concluded in association with the prestigious University of Washington, Bothell campus, Seattle, USA. The students of NITIE successfully completed their GCP which was scheduled from 28
th May to 8
th June 2015. Seven students along with one faculty member visited USA for this program which provided the students with an opportunity to understand the culture and gave them insights into the mind-set of businesses in USA. The highlight of the program was to visit the largest building in the world by volume, The Boeing Manufacturing Plant. The students were exhilarated by the views and speeches delivered by various angel investors, entrepreneurs and professors and executives from companies including Microsoft, Boeing and Outerwall.

NITE has also signed a MoU with the University of Alabama Huntsville, U.S.A. for research and Academic objectives.
NITIE has been constantly striving to uphold its standards on the global front while benchmarking the practices by drawing insights from internationally reputed organisations. These endeavors at NITIE would further pave the path for enabling the institute nurture first class engineers into world class executives.
