Being in the financial capital of India and located in one of the best areas in Mumbai, opposite to the famous Mithibai College and near the Juhu beach, the huge glass building of NMIMS gives a corporate yet campus feel to the managers studying inside. To enter, we use biometric and our college ID card which makes the building well guarded at all times. There is an artificial garden and capsule lifts which give it a unique and royal touch. The canteen is a big one consisting of almost all types of cuisines at very nominal prices. The hygiene quotient is always up to the mark with students themselves doing their bit to keep it clean at all times. The auditorium is on the ground floor and is extraordinary. It has all the modern technologies needed for effective guest lectures, presentations and committee interactions.
The design of the classrooms has been inspired from Harvard, in which the seating area is semi-circular in shape which makes it ideal for class participation and gives everybody an equal chance in understanding and contributing to the various discussions going on. This is a unique aspect that the college has included to match it to the best institutions in the world.
The faculty is highly qualified and each of them believes in interactive learning so as to keep the students engrossed in the subject. The interaction between the seniors and juniors is very open and initiatives are properly introduced in order to maximize this interaction and include each and every student on campus. Though not being a fully fledged campus, due to space crunch in Mumbai, the college uses this to its advantage by keeping the building perfectly maintained and well equipped with all the latest technologies, which would not have been possible in a huge campus. Also, students are closer to each other because of this aspect and the level of interaction is better.
To give us practical knowledge and teach us the art of team management, there are many cells inside the campus which accepts students with open arms and take them on a journey of interactive learning. There are various cells including those relating to all specializations of MBA, giving students an outside and practical exposure to their specializations, and also learn about others so as to make an informed decision when they choose their careers. The management work is done by an umbrella body which manages all these activities along with college fests and other initiatives.
There is also a placement committee which deals with the placement work and interaction with the corporate world. It is responsible for helping students make it to their dream company, primarily for which every MBA aspirant enters this field. All this ensures effective learning from this institute and it produces talented managers who are ready in all aspects to make a positive impact on the corporate world.

Using these extraordinary skills that I gain from my college campus every day, I want to work in Idea cellular as I am an electronics and communication engineer and so I have some interest towards this domain. I want to explore and earn the management side of the company and prove to be a future asset to the company. I want to further help in making the company progress and in the process, grow with the company.
