Aditya Birla Group has been playing a massive role in several major aspects of my life. I remember my school days when I used to wait the entire day long for the recess, craving for the delicious sandwiches and parathas in my ‘dabba’ prepared by my mother. It came wrapped in ‘Freshwrapp’ which took care that I ate only the fresh every time. One of the advertisements of ‘UltraTech Cement’ portraying the story of 2 brothers left a deep impression on my mind. The younger brother out of his passion and determination was able to achieve his dream of building mega structures and ‘UltraTech Cement’ was associated with his success. Through this ad, the message conveying importance of being confident brought about a positive change in me. Being a shopaholic, I never miss a chance to hit the new collections in stores. What can be a better place than ‘Pantaloons’ to meet this end. Continuing from the last seven years, I still love the collection of Polo T-shirts by Bare Denims which I can find easily at Pantaloons. The brand offers premium yet economical clothes. Aditya Birla Group in addition to the above experiences, also has a luck factor attached for me. It was for the selection round at IIFT when I purchased my first formal suit from ‘Louis Philippe’. The extent to which I was nervous on the D-Day can’t be described but I felt that putting on that suit brought confidence and proved to be lucky for me. Since then I have been wearing it to every important event I had in the recent months. That’s how Aditya Birla Group has contributed in my life.
I feel that challenges and difficulties in one’s life marks the onset of one's journey towards success. In order to elaborate my statement, I would like to share an example from my life. Music is something which has always fascinated me. I started exploring this domain by taking up guitar classes. Soon, playing guitar turned into my second nature. Despite having gotten the needed skills and lessons, I wasn’t able to overcome my stage fright and failed to showcase my talent in front of a large audience. In the year 2015 there was an Inter School Music competition going to be organized in my hometown Rourkela and it was going to be judged by major artists in Music Industry. It was a one-time opportunity for me but the fear of facing a large crowd stood as a hindrance in my mind. The competition was due in 2 weeks. I talked to my father about my fear and expressed my willingness to participate. He pacified the situation and asked me to follow my aspiration without fearing and shared with me an episode from his life. I got to learn how to overcome any fear in life from his example. And for the next 12 days I practised day and night keeping cardboards resembling the audience in front of me. On the 14
th day, I delivered an unexpected performance believing that the audience in front of me was mere cardboard pieces. Little did I realise that I had overcame my stage fright and the performance was appreciated by the crowd.
