Aditya Birla group is a huge conglomerate with a big product line up, extending from cement to cellular to mining and much more and it has directly or indirectly touched the whole India. I am one among these millions of Indians, being born and brought up in the Indian middle-class family, I have used an uncountable number of Aditya Birla Group Products but I am emotionally connected with a few of their products like Ultratech Cement, Idea, pantaloons. I clearly remember the Ultratech cement sacks which were used in the construction of my House where I spent my childhood and my adolescent. The first ever phone call I did was via Idea cellular, which my father is still using till the date or be it pantaloons, where I bought all my clothes in past three years, as pantaloons were the only clothing chain available in a 3rd tier city like Jharsuguda. Aditya Birla group is big in my life not only because of the direct connection that I have with them but because of so many things done by them which indirectly affected my and many other Indians' lives. For example, Aditya Birla Group is among the leading producers of aluminium but is also among the world leaders in aluminium recycling, it is also among a few companies providing eco-friendly fabrics and even green energy. Aditya Birla Group has created so many sub-industries and so many job opportunities throughout the country helping thousands of people.
I may have born in a financially humble family, but I was taught to keep my ambitions high and fight for it despite all constraints. Although I had a happy-go-lucky childhood which went past me in a haste, Life hit me hard in my late teens as finances of my family received a setback when my grandfather was completely paralysed. I decided to support my family and I took the responsibility for my expenses and my graduation fees in order to reduce the financial burden on my family to the extent possible. I started taking tuitions, I used to manage my college from 10:30 in the morning to 5:30 in the evening post which I use to take multiple tuition classes. I had to travel to different locations in my city to take private tuitions and manage my graduation at the same time. At the age of 19 when every one of my friends uses to indulge in many fun gatherings very prevalent during one’s college life, I was balancing myself between my tuitions and my studies but eventually, I managed to pay my college fees and I took care of all my other expenses. I believe everyone has to struggle once in life and such struggles make them a completely different person. My stint made me a stronger person and helped me manage my time and skills really well. Form this period I became financially independent, never relied on anyone. I learned the importance of financial management, I even took care of my sister's education, supported my family and have saved enough to be able to sustain my expenses and fund my MBA. In a nut-shell, I became a better person in every sense.
