“TIME”,  A resource that has the caliber for the smarts to turn a stone into gold, and to the average intellects, simply another moment of wastage. And we being aspiring Managers of the forth coming world, skills of captivating each moment and embracing it to impart the mighty “Midas touch” is what we are destined to.

" To feel the zeal and to get high uphill

             Interacting with TIME is what needed to reel,

          An aspect of life which keeps success in its seal,

  It’s up to you, to make the most or to kill ”

Punctuality is the key, to be the best in your game, the game of success, wherein, not only you but the 7.6 billion people of this planet aspire to win. Few are the ones who can taste the flavor of victory and it’s only the dedication of one that separates him from the rest And here at Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Delhi, the breeze which blows in itself hums our adage,

“When others are busy sleeping, enjoying their dreams,

We are wide awake to make ours come true”

And keeping the synergy of the above statement, I had my first experience to the world of ‘Punctuality', an attribute which gets instilled in you as if part of your DNA once you belong to the family called IIFT. Being an Engineer, we people have a stigma attached to us, wherein we feel that anything and everything is, “Better late than never”, but for us,

IT'S BETTER ONLY WHEN BEFORE THE DEADLINE

Probably that's what separates an IIFTians from the rest of the crowd, and that is the legacy which we follow for all our important work of academic importance, i.e. End of Day (EOD) with the clock saying 11:59:59 pm. An indication of the clock to which each IIFTian adheres so meticulously, that even Sun might someday turn up from the west, but not an IIFTian could turn up a single second late. " We are not slaves of the time                                                                        but the traders, to turn it into Dime, 

           we hold the spark to keep ourselves ahead of time,

                As not being in parallel to it would bring us to grime”

As John A. Widtsoe has rightly said, "Preparedness and Punctuality are the two most important qualities of a leader”, and taking it in the right spirit and keeping each member at par with it,  IIFT has set a benchmark for other premier institutes to practice.
