We Indians are privileged to have a culture wherein mothers form an integral part of our lives (No matter how old we get!!). Whenever we meet our mothers after a long span of time (say at the end of college semesters), they only have 1 thing to say, “Kitna patla ho gaya h”, “College wale khana nhi dete?”No matter who we are, the sons are always pampered by moms.
This beautiful culture is portrayed in the
Freshwrap’s commercial where mom’s hot and tasty food is packed in beautiful and glowing lunchboxes of school kids. The
Freshwrap foil keeps it safe and healthy.
Not only
Freshwrap, moms also have a role to play in choosing your clothes for “special occasions” like her (sister’s cousin’s uncle’s daughter’s uncle’s sister’s)
infinity……………………………………………’s marriage. Now in the same scenario, guys from my age, in other countries would skip the wedding and go for a drink with friends. And in the worst case scenario they will wear whatever clothes they find. But, fortunately I am an Indian so my mother will decide the clothes from me!! Now just like a normal guy I will go and buy a 500 buck shirt or at most 1000 and wear my elder brother’s donated trousers. But, when my mom sees this she will create a havoc “Ye pehnega tu”? “ What will others say”. And she will order me to get a Van Heusen’s suit or Peter England’s formals. And no matter how much I protest , she will make me buy and wear these brands.
Well my father is also not very far away in the race. I do remember when I had my first SSB interview and I had to buy formals for that. But a teen like me who was a 16 year old at that time couldn’t have thought of wearing a shirt and pants but I had to. So, me and my father went for “shopping” and we bought Peter England as he couldn’t compromise on the quality of the product.
So, ultimately Aditya
Birla
Group’s products have created a distinct brand image in the minds of the consumers. It has been able to distinguish itself from other similar brands. People don’t go to buy shirts and pants instead they purchase Peter
England and Van
Heusen. Food is not wrapped in aluminium foil(I haven’t even spoken this word in my school days) but it is wrapped in Freshwrap.
Not only these but retail chains of ABG i.e. Pantaloons and Ralph
Lauren are affixed in minds of people as quality and premium brands.Especially, in almost every city of Indian, Pantaloons' outlets can be seen in the malls. Whenever I have to shop in the malls for clothes the name that comes to my mind is Pantaloons. Especially, the craze for pantaloons amongst teens and young adults is very high.
The reason I started with a mom’s story is that I am very close to not only my mom but also my dad. Dads are always underestimated for not expressing their love for their children. But I have been very close to my dad(maybe more than my mom).he reason is that, he is in a job which is subjected to so many transfers. So, at some point of time we as a family had to take a decision of living apart due to my studies. This has made me realize his importance in my life.
I have always been an introvert guy and not very comfortable in speaking with people. My lack of proper communication and professional skills was the reason I failed in my SSB interviews that I talked earlier about. Being in an average college with no exposure and no initiatives from my side made me realize how important it is for me to develop myself and build a successful career. So, to enter into the corporate world and to learn and develop myself, I started preparing for management entrance exams. During my preparation I developed my skills and worked on my weaknesses and thus I was able to take admission into India’s one of the top B- schools i.e. SIBM, Pune.
And after coming here I realized that if I take initiatives I can develop myself. So, applied for Student’s Councils and got selected in Sports Management Team after strenuous interview rounds.
I am looking forward to be more active in developing my understanding of the corporate world and thereafter earn my job.
