Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi is one of the oldest management institutes of the country, even older than the holy trinity. Despite being old, we have a very small campus. However, this has never been the deterrent to the growth institute has made over the years as evident by the fact that FMS has always been among the top 5 management institutes of the country and have always been compared with IIM ABC. The unique feature that has helped us is the constraint factor. These constraints of the infrastructure have helped the students optimize the time and resources to the best. The student bodies are very active and carry out various competitions throughout the year and never let the infrastructure become a barrier to the extra-curricular activities.
A memorable classroom experience in my B-school
This happened to me on the first day of the classes. We had been divided into sections, and the timetable has been designed accordingly. So, on the first day, I went to a different class and I never inquired about the section. The class ended with my name not being called during the attendance. At this point, I came to know that I have attended the class in the wrong section. But I could do nothing at this point so, I also had a nice laugh along with others and recalled “jaha se gyan mile lapet lo”
Introducing some of my crazy batchmates
- Rohan Gupta: - He is a crazy Arsenal fan and always ready to watch football. His main frustration during the busy schedule is not the work but the matches that he missed because of the work. The funny part is that he hates number 4.
- Aniket Tambe: - The guy looks very sensible when normal, but you see his talent when it comes to acting. It becomes difficult to differentiate his own personality from the character.
- Yazali Midun: - Crazy dance enthusiast, he can dance anywhere if he gets a chance. He won the best dancer award during our induction. When he dances, it seems that his body parts would fall off from his body.
- Akshada Jagtap: - She is Lord Hanuman as she also doesn’t know the talent she has, she came to know she can rap only when she was asked to do something on the spot. Now, she regrets why she didn’t explore this earlier. Only God knows how many more such talent she possesses.
Dream ABG company: -
If given a chance I would like to work for Louis Philippe, post my MBA. This premium brand has always attracted me as the clothing they offer is something unparalleled. However, they don’t have a presence in women’s apparel so, I would like to handle their marketing segment and push the brand for the female customers also. This interest has further been increased by the reviews that I have come across, the peer network that one can have while working and the career growth a person can witness while working with Louis Philippe. Moreover, I might get to handle the markets overseas.
