I am from IIM Indore, there are quite a few things which make IIM Indore campus unique. To start with the first unique thing which one finds is that the campus is located on a hilly region, this makes campus a greet destination for photography lovers. Moreover, we have a sunset-sunrise point as well which is cherished by nature lovers. A cool breeze always blows through the corridors, bringing in, with it, pleasant aroma from far lands which sooths and energizes students’ mind.
Apart from scenic beauty our campus has great infrastructure, classrooms are designed in accordance with local theme, which ingrains local culture in quality learning experience. Our Academic building constructed around a circular lawn which makes it easier to access classrooms and also gives it unique view. We have a Olympic sized swimming pool which attraction of most resident and visitor of campus. We also have beautiful gymnasium facilities which are attraction of fitness enthusiasts. We have a great library which has collection of useful academic and beautiful non-academic books. Our hostel rooms are spacious and are single accommodation type. Our hostels are generally constructed around a rectangular open space thus one can easily see all activities going on in hostel from top floor of the building.
Next unique thing about our campus is that it is bit away from main city. Though our campus is not inside of the city but It is well connected to city. There is shuttle bus service available for commute for residents of campus to city. The bus covers all major destination of the city. In campus as well, we never fell disconnected from city. All necessities can be full filled within the campus itself as we have convenience store and few food joints as well which are pretty reasonable with good taste.
Another unique thing about campus is that we have great forest cover all over the campus which gives it beautiful look and residents find themselves closer to nature. Many beautiful birds can be spotted if one takes a morning walk through the campus.
One more unique thing about our campus is that we have a very old Shiv temple which is present here even before the college was built. This temple attracts a large crowd of devotees on Maha Shivratri.
Thus, summing it up all, we have a great campus which adds too our overall experience of academic life.
Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
I would like to work for Hindalco Industries. Hindalco’s aluminium products attract me the most. One of the reason is aluminium is recyclable metal which is extensively recycled and thus reduces pollution as well as contributes to savings, moreover strength wise aluminium is lighter and stronger than steel. In Aluminium I would like to work for Eternia aluminium windows. Eternia gives a branded and trusted option to customers who have to deal with uncertain unorganized fragmented market of local aluminium windows fabricator. I also like the transformation which this product has brought to industry making it more a service and solutions business. Thus, I would like to work for Eternia windows.
