My first encounters with ABG Brands and what they meant to me. Aditya Birla is one group that is present in every walk of life, contributing in every front of the society through its diligent businesses. ABFRL one such brand, which is leading the way in India’s formal dressing industry by providing trendy formals at affordable prices in every part of the country. I still remember the day I first brought my first formal suit before entering a B-School at a Louis Philippe Store. Idea is the brand name that took mobile network to the most remote parts of the country and made possible the telecom revolution in India, touching the life of every common citizen. Also the day I brought my first phone I bought an Idea Sim for it because of its reputation as the most reliable and pocket friendly network in India. More Stores by ABG are another such example of my firsts in life, when I entered into one during my childhood feeling the curiosity of how a super-market looks like as I hadn’t been to one before. I was astonished at the number and variety of products it had to offer to me at a single location. The excitement of being surrounded by so many choices was a feeling that I had never experienced before in my life. When I stepped in, mustered support, and made an Impact. One of the biggest challenges I faced in my life was related to Minor-Project in the 7th semester of my engineering. My group was severely lagging behind in preparation of our project due to more focus on mid-terms and practical exams. Our preparation was not in a good shape and the closely approaching deadline was taking its toll on everyone and in the given situation our chances of completing the project were looking really bleak and some of us were convinced that our project will not come to fruition in given time.. We were only a week away from the submission date when I believed it was time I stirred some life into the group when it was needed the most. That is when I quoted to them a quote from one of my most favourite novella “Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption” - “Remember that hope is a good thing, Red, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.” And a smile swept across every face in our group. There was renewed energy in our group and we together planned to revamp our efforts and look upon the problems. We pondered over what was ailing our progress and narrowed it down to working in an unorganized manner and not having distributed the proper roles to everyone. I directed everyone and distributed the roles keeping in mind everyone’s strengths and group synergy. Everyone started to work with renewed energy and everything started falling into place as we prudently proceeded on our respective jobs. We were able to successfully complete the project in time and were satisfied with our results. Our project was well received by the faculty-in-charge and we got 10 out of 10 pointer in our Minor-Project.
