Aditya Birla Group is one of the biggest conglomerates of India. It has established itself in almost every sphere of life. From the cloth we wear to the home we live in, and to the video calls that enable us to interact with our loved ones, Aditya Birla Group has made our life much more convenient.
My first introduction to ABG was, when I came across the viral advertisement of Idea Cellular Network on Television stating, "What an idea, Sir Ji?" The tagline "An idea can change your life" really fascinated me. The ads were not only creative and funny but also had a strong message for the society. Through these ads ABG tried to make an impact in the field of health (Walk when you talk), Education, Controlling population and Environment. Personally, it motivated me to think towards the problem that our country is facing and what can be the possible solution for it.
Secondly, the ABG introduced brands into my life. Having been brought up in a non metropolitan town, I was completely unaware of its culture. I remember buying a top from Pantaloons in the first year of my graduation. And since then I have been a loyal customer of it. From apparel to footwear to accessories, one can find everything in ABG. The product are not only of good quality but also within the budget of most people. No matter what the occasion is, be it a formal attire for one's interview or ethnic dress for festivals or casual wear, one can easily find everything under one roof.
Since its inception in 1857, Aditya Birla Group has also tried to make a difference into the lives of many by indulging into CSR activities like setting up medical camp for rural people, opening schools, vocational training centres and centres for community initiatives and rural development. It is also associated with various government schemes like Sarva Siksha Abhiyan, MGNREGA, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna and Gram Sadak Yojana. With these programs, it has created a huge impact into the lives of many and its impossible to get unaffected by Aditya Birla Group.
Part B: How have I made an impact? What odds and challenges did I face and how I overcame it?
Whenever I encounter any challenge, I recall the line, " Ups and downs in life are very important to keep us going, because a straight line even in an ECG means we are not alive". Life is never smooth for anyone, so had not been for me.
Through this article I am going to discuss the first major challenge that I face in my life. Having been brought up in a small town, and in a joint conservative family, it is next to impossible for a girl like me to live a life of her own. Moreover, it is also very difficult to take necessary steps for turning ones dream into reality. Staying away from home for studies, was a thing of distant dream for girls in my locality, and so was it for me.
The problem arose when I got admission and scholarship in one of the premier institute and my family was reluctant to send me away from home, as they were concern about my safety and the issue how would I survive in a completely new city where I do not know anybody. It was a real challenge for me to convince them and make them understand that how important it is for my career. But eventually, I succeeded in convincing them. After completing my graduation, I got job in one of the most reputed companies of India, it proved my success and opened the door of education for all other girls of my society and family. Moreover, it also paved the path for my future. And today, here I am, pursuing PGP from IIM Ranchi, one of the leading MBA institutes of our country.
