Institute of Management Technology, Hyderabad, a premier B-school of Southern India, where fitness is a life mantra, unveiled the fourth version of its Annual Sports Festival: PERIODOS, on the 20th January, 2017. PERIODOS is an event where teams from top Indian business schools compete in various sports namely: Football, Cricket, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Basketball, Throwball and Counter-strike. Living up to a four-year-old legacy, PERIODOS’17 was a power packed package of a plethora of aggrandizing, refreshing and enthralling moments. PERIODOS 4.0 witnessed an overwhelming and enthusiastic participation from several B-schools: IBS Hyderabad, SIBM Hyderabad, NMIMS Hyderabad, NICMAR Hyderabad, Guru Nanak Business School Hyderabad, IMT Nagpur, Alliance Business School and VVSM Hyderabad. Day 1 of the Sports Fest concluded on an euphoric and jubilant note, with The Blue Soul Band performing on peppy and groovy Bollywood songs. The second day of IMT Hyderabad’s PERIODOS 4.0 started with the same charisma as that of Day 1. The Comprehensive final matches of all the diverse genres of PERIODOS sports events were played on day 2, which kept the participants gratified and captivated.FOOTBALL: The final football match was played between IBS Hyderabad and Alliance Business School, which was won by IBS in the penalty shoot-out by a score of 4-3.CRICKET:The final cricket match was played between IMT Hyderabad and IBS Hyderabad. It turned out to be one of the most exciting contests, with the host team winning by 17 runs. TABLE-TENNIS: The finals of table tennis were played between IMT Nagpur and NMIMS Hyderabad. IMT Nagpur won the contest with a score of 3-0.THROWBALL: The final match of Throwball was played between IMT Hyderabad and SIBM Hyderabad, which IMT Hyderabad won convincingly.COUNTER-STRIKE: In the final face off of Counter-strike, IBS Hyderabad locked horns with IMT Hyderabad. The closely contested match was finally won by IBS Hyderabad with a score of 16-6.VOLLEYBALL:The finals were played between NICMAR Hyderabad and IBS Hyderabad. It turned out to be a very competitive encounter which IBS Hyderabad won by 2-1.BASKETBALL: The final match of basketball was played between IBS Hyderabad and SIBM Hyderabad, which IBS Hyderabad won by a convincing score of 70-50. “It was a great experience playing for my team. Periodos gave me wings. There was a great amount of sporting spirit shown by both the teams.
