Neal Donald Walsch once said, "Life begins at the end of your comfort zone." It has been instilled in my core philosophy that for a person's character to evolve; he or she must aspire to exceed their surmised potential and become accustomed to failure. I strive to step outside my comfort zone and scale new heights in every opportunity I seize.

My zeal to absorb new experiences at the university level propelled me to become a member of the Commerce and Business Team of Jain University, Bangalore. In the initial phase of my commerce and business team endeavour I failed to secure any meaningful trophies. I was infamous for my uncanny ability to lose and everyone grew wary of me. During times of failure, it is imperative to take a moment of introspection and reassess the road ahead. Equating winning trophies to my success as a person is an incredibly materialistic way to think. Regardless, it taught me that not everything in life comes easy and the knowledge we acquire through failure is priceless.

The next year, I participated in a multitude of commerce and management summits hosted by South India's most distinguished institutions, and won coveted events like Best Manager, Corporate Strategy, Supply Chain Management, Banking, Finance and many more. My involvement in the team paved the way for the apex of my achievements – being elected Head of the Student Council at Jain University.

We as individuals have to keep evolving to move forward in our personal and professional journey, as staying stagnant is an incredibly dangerous position to be in. The way I approach problems and the achievements I have today are only possible because of the knowledge and confidence I reaped from the countless challenges  I dealt with.
