The Prime Cohort – the HR event of Revelation 2018 witnessed participants from different colleges across the country, who had a zeal to go beyond infinity, to achieve the unseen and to redefine themselves constantly, in sync with the theme this year - ‘Aether Infinium’.
The event sought to judge the knowledge, subject acumen, and decision-making ability of the participants amongst a plethora of activities. The event was conducted over a period of 2 days. Some of the colleges that set foot were teams from SCMHRD Pune, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar, SIBM Pune, Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai, SIBM Hyderabad, and many more.
The Day 1 commenced with a buzzer round of quiz and video sword, where the teams were asked questions on various HR concepts. Next, two rounds, Recruitment and Talent Hunt, happened simultaneously. The participants in the Talent Hunt round encountered real-time interview situation where they had to find their candidates located around the campus and take the decision to hire or not, based on the job description and resume given. Once that was done, they immediately had to do a role play, where the teams had to enact the roles of victims and HRs and later, had to swap their roles as well. The best 6 teams were selected after the elimination rounds and on the D-Day, they had to give a presentation on the Gamification PPTs made by them as a part of their overnight task.
The day ended with the last round – HR Analytics, where the teams had to analyse attrition rates of an organization. The Team from SCMHRD Pune emerged victorious, bagging the title of The Prime Cohort 2018. The team from SDMIMD Mysore was declared the Runner-up.
A participant from ‘The Prime Cohort’ quoted, “Although HR is a theoretical subject, the rounds were really innovative and interactive. We got an opportunity to update ourselves with the latest industry knowledge in the HR domain.”
All the teams showed immense grit and determination and were always on their toes to show their might. The eccentricity of the participants at The Prime Cohort of Revelation 2018 is unmatched in many ways altogether.
