SIBM, Pune is one of the most scenic B-School campuses in the country. The campus is situated on Lavale hilltop, ensuring a smooth breeze and close touch with nature. The infrastructure on campus beautifully bridges the gap between nature and modern technology without affecting the charm of either of them. World class sports facilities coupled with a state of the art amphitheatre makes the college campus an irresistible place to be at. The classrooms are particularly designed for effective learning by following the smart classrooms concept which provides great audio-visual support.
Another striking aspect of our college is the student-driven culture. All the activities and a major chunk of administrative work are carried out by the students which gives them hands-on experience in management and strategy planning.
Finally, the most important aspect has to be the quality of mentors available on campus. The faculty is ready outright to provide advice, support and guidance on almost anything that a student may be concerned about and that for me makes my campus unique as I have a support mechanism, unlike any other institute I have ever visited or been a part of.
Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
The Aditya Birla Group comprises of few of the biggest Indian companies in terms of market share and I personally would want to work for Idea Cellular. Considering the current tussle in the Indian telecom domain, it will be a very challenging journey. The company is known for targeted advertising and launching consumer need friendly schemes after carrying out deep market research. As a marketing enthusiast, I may get to try new marketing techniques that are required to revive in the market, understand the need of mergers and acquisitions and gauge the magnitude of thecompetition in one of the most competitive domains.
