PART A - How Aditya Birla has impacted my life?
I have lived in 12 different cities. That means I have seen many different people and experienced different cultures, traditions and lifestyle. Most importantly, I have tasted food from all those places. Each region had its own take on how food should taste, be served and be eaten. But in spite of such diversity, there is no food like that of home. “Ghar ka Khana” is the one craving that never fades, no matter where in the world you are. It is in this respect that Aditya Birla Group has had the most profound effect on my life with Freshwrapp.
I still remember my school days when my mom used to pack lunch for me every day. Lunch time was around 3 hours after she packed it but it was Freshwrapp foil that kept my food hot and fresh. The moment I opened my lunchbox, just the aroma of the food would make my mouth watery. And of course, my friends in the class had the same experience as well. No wonder I had to keep my lunch safe to keep them from hogging my food. Whether it was aloo paratha or chhole kulche or roti sabzi, it felt like home every time.
Today, when I have been staying away for quite some time, that craving for home food stays. Even today, my mom packs me food when I leave after visiting them. And even today, when I open that food-box, I am taken back home. All because of Freshwrapp.
PART B - Overcoming Challenges in Life
When I was in school, I just wanted to play football and score well in exams. So I did that. It came with some challenges but I handled it. I faced very different challenges during graduation and it came in the form of organizing three national level college fests and volunteering for an NGO along with managing my studies. I was able to do that successfully as well. But it was when I started working in my first company that I faced a challenge that had the most profound effect on me.
I was in-charge of production of an assembly in a manufacturing plant which had its labor in worker unions. Now, I had only heard till then that dealing with the union is tricky but working there gave me a firsthand experience. After just 6 months into the job, I got into an argument with a worker which escalated quickly. The union leader was called in, my boss was called in and the production was paused. After a while, the issue was resolved and everyone went back to work. I came back home and did a recap to check where things went wrong. I found that I lacked respectfulness in the argument. I realized that respect is the only thing that these workers ask for and thus, I gave exactly that thereon.
My efforts were fruitful in the sense that I was able to have a better camaraderie with the workers than ever before. The productivity was also at an all-time high. Thus, Respectfulness is the one quality I keep with myself from now on.
