Small is Big! This is a paradoxical statement that comes true at FMS. The building ends as soon as you enter and take a couple of steps inside. But the warmth of the people inside is very perceptible and overwhelming. Nothing is impersonal in FMS. Right from the receptionist to the administrative staff to the seniors who go out of their way to helps us; everyone is deeply concerned about you as a person. B-schools, in general, are infamous about cut-throat competition; in fact, it’s a common joke that the air in B-schools itself is saturated with competition. But even in my barely month-long journey at FMS, I have deeply felt the camaraderie between all the members of my batch. In a nutshell, FMS will never make you feel that you are alone. There are more people than you can count that have your back.

A memorable classroom experience in my B-school

One of the most memorable classroom experiences in FMS happened during the induction process. The induction process is notorious for its gruelling rigour and late night tasks. After ten long days of induction, everyone in our batch was desperately craving for some respite from the back-breaking schedule. Little did we know that it was the last day of induction and our lovely seniors had planned some amazing and fun activities for us. The day started like any other day but in the evening the seniors played a crazy prank on us which had everyone very scared. When they finally revealed that it was a prank and started dancing and laughing, it was truly a euphoric moment for all of us. The rest of the evening was very memorable too. We finally realized how much our seniors truly cared for us; they might have had shown tough love during those ten days, but ultimately it was all for our betterment. Every now and then, when I think about the last day of induction, I become very nostalgic.

Introducing - some of my crazy batchmates 

• Sparsh Gupta: The whole class knows him as Mr CA. But what really differentiates him is his incredible ability to come up with innovative questions during class and industry interactions. He is equally loved and hated by the batch, loved for his extraordinary ability to come up with questions no one has even though of, but also hated for being the reason that these sessions get extended above their timelines!
• Megha Gupta: If there would be a title such as the fashionista of the batch, it would unanimously go to Megha Gupta. She is the trendsetter of our class with her short funky coloured hair and strappy dresses. Her chilled as ice attitude too totally complements her dressing style.
• Aditya Bhale: It is certainly a rare thing to meet a classically trained singer and that two of the calibre of Aditya. With his voice alone, he can hold the crowd captivated; a voice so powerful that it doesn’t even need instruments to enhance it. As a person too, he is as charming to talk to as he is to listen to.
• Ritu Tomar: She seems like a shy introverted girl when you first meet her but wait till she starts dancing and you wonder where all the inhibition went away! Her western dance moves are electrifying enough to set everyone’s heart racing. It’s magical to see her confidence soar during her performance.

ABG company I would want to work for

I would like to work for Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. This is because I have been a fashion enthusiast since the last ten years and also have experience running my own store in an online apparel app. I feel my interests and competencies would best align with this company.
