FMS, being among the top five B schools of  India, is unique in its own way. Working under the umbrella of Delhi, University, and FMS enjoys the privilege of the location which is in the heart of the national capital of India. The added benefit for MBA students here is they can work on many different live projects because of the many Industrial hubs located in Delhi. Also, the student can get an opportunity to attend various exhibitions, Auto Expo and trade fair. Having almost half the batch size compare to the other top B school, every student gets an opportunity to connect with almost all the students of the batch and can build those networking part into well-established relation.

A memorable classroom experience in my B school

One of the memorable experience I will cherish forever happened during the induction period of FMS, Delhi. The cultural society divided us randomly in a team of ten and was asked to come up with a creative and entertaining act. We were given only three hours to come up with an act and perform it in the front of the whole batch as well as the seniors. As all the members were randomly picked, there was a gush of ideas flowing from each of us. The spirit of winning the competition was alive in us. We boiled down to one idea and that was to perform a slow-motion dance on old songs. When we started practising on it, we came to know that how pathetic we were when it come to perform a dance. But, we finally synchronized ourselves on the beats and finalized it. When the event started, we were the first one to perform and we started dancing, whole batch busted into laughter and the solid poker face which we decided to portray , failed. I believe that this memory will surely be staying with me whenever I will perform a dance.

Introducing some of my crazy batch mates

1. Adiba Asmat

Adiba Asmat and I are in the same section. We met each other for the first time when I was looking for a flatmate and she pinged me on my number whether I am interested to be her flatmate.

One of the crazy thing about her is that whenever someone cracks a joke in our class , she is the last one to laugh and once she starts laughing she won't stop easily But, from my experience of interaction with her , I realized that is one of the sweetest person to talk with.

2. Aditi Kavya

Aditi hails from the same state from where I had come. Both of us being gujju, our thought process is the same most of the time. Coincidentally, we also share the same engineering background, both of us being a Chemical engineer.

One of the crazy about her is that she is obsessed with cleanliness. At times, I find it quiet annoying but nevertheless I have learned a lot in terms of basic hygiene factor.

3. Shiladitya Saha

He is a proper Bengali person and one of my closest friend. From the day we got to know each other, we have become good friends now

The crazy thing about him is that he loves travelling to different parts of the country. He had made a bucket list like 10 things he wants to do before he dies

4. Shreyans Hinger

I got to know about Shreyans when we were in a same team during the induction period of our batch. At that time, the case study we got , we collaborated on it and went to win the competition. From that day itself, we became good friends

The crazy thing about Shreyans is that he wants to have a big collection of luxury cars of different brands.

Why I want to join the company?

Aditya Birla Group has established its legacy by becoming one of the largest Indian business conglomerate. Some of the businesses in which ABG group operators are Insurances, telecom, IT services, financial services, Cement, Chemicals, fertilizers and Business process outsourcing. Coming with a work experience  of thirty three months  in TATA Chemicals, I have a fair idea of how big conglomerate works and  this will also benefit me in applying the Shop floor knowledge I have from my work experience. Also, from the seniors, I came to know the types of role they when one join the company. For e.g. like designing a launch strategy for their apparel brand, setting up a community kitchen for the CSR activities
