My campus is also called the red building of dreams. What makes it unique is the density of dreams in the building. The 2-acre campus is power packed with champions and its impossible to not feel the cohesion once you are inside. There are big tanks and small grenades, my campus is a nuclear missile packed in a pen. That is the kind of concentration of force which is present here to propel the FMSites forward in the business world. We all carry the same kind of concentration within us too. This campus creates synergies unparalleled. The synergies are between every feature of the campus, be it students, faculties or staff. Everyone is a synchronised part of this power-packed system and this is how my campus becomes the unique red building of dreams.
A memorable classroom experience in my B-school
In my B-school FMS, I got the chance to study under some splendid academician. One particular experience in class which was very memorable for me was my first interaction with our dean Ms Sunita Sengupta. I had in my mind a strict lady teaching us from books and focusing on how to create competition. But instead what I met in class was a very humble lady with traditional values and focusing on inclusion. I found out that our scriptures are not obsolete and what I had been taught by my father about our core traditional values and spiritualism are not obsolete but are actually the very best management practices. This experience hooked me on to MBA even more and has motivated me to find the connection between spiritualism and leadership.
Introducing - some of my crazy batchmates
I have a very crazy mix of batchmates here at FMS. People are from various domains and have an even wider range of passion. Among these are a few people who have particularly stood out with respect to the amount of crazy in them. One such crazy is Aditya Bhale. A regular guy, wearing spectacles, taking notes is what he seems to be. What does not get noticed is the professionally trained tabla player who is also a really enthusiastic entrepreneur. He has always followed his dreams and had the guts to abandon the chase halfway if realized that it is not actually fulfilling his dreams. After pursuing a few months of research in IIT he dropped out and went ahead to study tabla professionally. Studying tabla does not mean that he can not have time for a small initiative like starting a football academy. While most of us struggle to find out time to fulfil our tasks, he tries to find tasks to fulfil his time. Aditya Bhale is crazy of my batch who hides very well behind his thick specs and a broad smile.
Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
The ABG company I would like to work for is Birla Carbon. Birla Carbon is a company which has been innovative and collaborative with a very unique set of products and similar challenges.
Birla Carbon has a global footprints with its wide range of products and being a mechanical engineer I am can closely identify to these unique products which form a core ingredient in the various manufacturing process. Birla Carbon has also been a leader in sustainability. Sustainability is a field which motivates me immensely and I want an opportunity to work with the leader in this field. Working with Birla Carbon I hope to learn from their heritage and contribute in building more of them with my continuous efforts. Being particularly interested in automobiles I will also get the opportunity to work with the best carbon additive manufacturer for tires. Together we will build products stronger, lighter and long-lasting and make a positive impact on the society by enhancing the sustainability solutions.
