FMS is a great college. It is a part of Delhi University, which is one of the best in the country. We are a small campus, which works in our favour. We see each other all the time we are in campus and it helps us to know each other very well and share our experiences. Our interaction with our seniors is so much more because of the small size. FMS prepares us to make maximum utilisation of the resources and to adapt to the situations and the surroundings. We have access to all sorts of facilities which includes world class swimming pool, gym, cricket and football ground. Our classes are regularly arranged in centers like conference center, main auditorium at Patel chest. We are surrounded by other top DU colleges like Kirori Mal, St. Stephen, Hindu and SRCC. Most of the students live within 1km of the campus and are often seen enjoying and interacting with other college students as well. Even the canteen is small, which again is a blessing in disguise as it brings the batchmates and their seniors closer. We often eat together and have fun. The classrooms are nice with proper air conditioning, projector and speakers. All students easily form a bonding with the college. Even our professors have been with the college for 15 years. We have a basketball court and we also use it to play badminton. We have a small air-conditioned library with lot of books and thesis. We frequently have guest lectures in the seminar hall where each and every alumni of FMS praise the campus and tells how there is something special about it and how much they feel attached to the college. The campus creates a bonding with its students and is truly The Red Building of Dreams.

A memorable classroom experience in my B-school

In our session of Business Communication by Ms. Mahima Thakur we were assigned the task to present a topic in front of the class and the topic has to be related to the field but outside of the syllabus. We started with our presentation and were amazed at how creative and fun it got, students were coming up with all sorts of the topic. One of my friends presented the topic of Colour Psychology as to how the colours we wear might send what kind of message and how we can make it work in our favour. Or someone presented how even the astrology can determine which would be better communicators. It taught us so much we had cross-questioning and coming up with all sorts of situations and scenarios. All started to have so much fun that they asked the professor to continue session even during Lunch time. None of us felt like we were doing work, it was a fun and amazing discussion and we got to learn about so many new theories and shared our own experiences to prove that how even the small things matter. There was a quiz after the presentation which helped us to summarize the learnings. It was a very fruitful interaction, even our professor has got a great sense of humour and she talked about her experiences of how things went all crazy and how Communication matters and to always know and understand that Small Things Matter. She also played videos about the research and the social experiments to confirm the studies. There was a skit also where we were to present situations to show the importance of body language during communication. It was an amazing learning experience.
