Why Aditya Birla Group Is Big In My Life ? Michael Kors, Hugo Boss, Versace and Hackett are some of the luxury fashion brands we all have sometime set our eyes upon. From designer clothing to uber fancy belts and shoes, these brands make exquisite products that make one drool. There was a time when one could only buy them internationally and had limited flexibility when it came to exchanges/returns. A few websites offered to deliver the products internationally but were clouded by long delivery periods alongside limited trust in terms of authenticity, but not anymore. “The Collective” a brainchild of Aditya Birla Group and part of Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Limited has made all this possible by bringing the brands we love closer to us. With 9 stores and counting, The Collective store is the perfect amalgamation of style and luxury and one does not need go any further to buy the luxury brand products that too all under one roof. The plethora of brands available at one place has made comparing between different brand products so convenient and efficient. The store has also opened doors to 55-60 global marquee brands that were once only an aspiration. The store is complemented by its online e-commerce website that provides hassle free returns as well. It is truly a delight to be able to choose between multiple products at the convenience of your home. The trust associated in the offering by Aditya Birla Group also provides peace of mind related to authenticity of the purchase. The website also boasts of huge collection to choose from, and also offers seasonal discounts to make the deal even more sweet. The swift delivery of products alongside a wide collection to choose from helped me send gifts to my family from miles apart through the website. Receiving a fancy apparel or accessory on your special occasion is a sheer delight and Aditya Birla Group has facilitated it. Creating an Impact Despite the Odds - My Story  While pursuing my graduation I vested myself more in extra-curricular activities at the cost of my academics. I focused on my skills as an engineer rather than the classroom examinations which led to a lower academic percentage. As the time for internships came closer, the importance of percentages became imminent to me as a deciding factor for placement cutoffs. I couldn’t sit for most internships offered due to my lackluster academic report. I undertook it upon me to improve my percentage by putting any amount of hard work necessary. I registered myself for improvement examinations of already undertaken courses as well as worked harder on the undergoing semester subjects. I appeared in more examinations than my peers in the semester due to the added burden of improvement exams to succeed in the goal I set for myself. During my final placements, I barely cleared the cut off for one of the most prestigious and a “Dream” company for the ECE students. I applied, cleared the written test and got shortlisted for the interviews. My skill centric approach in engineering paid off during my interviews and the academic rigour I had followed lately provided me with confidence in subject matter. One of the biggest semiconductor companies, one of the first companies on campus and the first company I sat for, Qualcomm, offered me the job. I was overjoyed and proud to have done what I did and despite the odds against me, I had proved my mettle.
