Success is not an accident.
When I was a kid, I was an over-achieving brat who thought she knew it all. I was naturally good at studies, sports and painted like a wiz-kid. I still remember, I seldom did my assignments at home. I quickly did it in class, memorizing and reciting all that was expected, thereby putting the fear of god in my fellow six-year olds.
But the thing with wiz-kids is, that nobody tells them how important it is to fail in life. How volatile, a life of no challenges, is. You had your way for the first eighteen years of your life. You must be doing something right?
Wrong. For pursuit of engineering, I left my home for the first time, expecting an adventure. In retrospect it was. I was not attentive in any of my classes, because why not? I did pass my boards with flying colours by studying overnight! I truly believed I could achieve everything without ever striving for anything.
Except that I fell on my face. It started out slow with failing a quiz or two, and soon turned into a nightmare that chased me for two years. When I failed my subjects, I began losing hope of getting back on my feet ever again. It was impossible for me to bounce back from there, for I hadn’t failed before! It was tough to the point that I considered dropping out and restarting my career from scratch, at the same time regretting messing up two of my most important years.
But I realised, every failure is a redirection. I was only trying to escape the reality and decided to pour all I had into bettering my academics. I took summer semesters and cleared my arrears one by one. My pointer rose slower than it had fell.
But it did! And by the sixth semester I had cleared all my arrears. I realised; I was wrong to discredit the merits of hard work. I could never depend solely on my knack again. I applied the same diligence in other areas where I was lagging and Voila!
The six-year olds were wiser than I thought.
The success of Aditya Birla Group too, since its inception, has been dependent on the perseverance of its leaders who work hard every day to better the society continuously- connecting cities and people, improving their lifestyles day in and day out. A tall building needs a strong foundation.

Students today travel across the country for education owing to the widespread options available. Such was my case. I covered the lengths and breadths of the country chasing career prospects and needed a reliable call service provider to fall back on- the instinctive choice was
Idea! The impeccability in its services made sure I never had a moment of panic! It kept me sane in my times of dismay by acting as a
purveyor of support- connecting me with my friends and family, no matter how remote the place was.
They say clothes maketh the (wo)man. What you wear says who you are more than anything else, for it’s the first conversation you have with a person when you meet them. The need for a wide variety of choice in the attire cannot be overstated. But for those hailing from smaller cities such as I, and having grown up in pre-online shopping days, the teenage me struggled to find her style of clothing. The hunt continued until my twenties wherein I struggled to find premium quality formalwear. Here comes
Aditya Birla Group with quality brands like People, Allen Solly and Van Heusen to the rescue. They reached out to us as a one stop solution with a plethora of options for all occasions, at the same time being easy on the pockets.
Ever since its inception in 1857 by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla, through various tiny and humongous steps, ABG has entwined itself in our lives so much that it is an inseparable part of our day-to-day now. Bridging cities, building cities, styling people, connecting families.
The conglomerate is taking the world to India as much as it is taking “India to the world”.
