Salil has been chosen as one of the top 30 most employable candidates across schools and programmes in India for the Class of 2015. He has one of the best 30 profiles among the 66 final round candidates who participated in the Best50 competition. The final 30 were chosen based on a combination of scores for the write-up below and the candidate’s resume. What have you done at your business school which makes you stand out from the crowd? Maintaining a batch rank amongst top 10 in a batch of 470 students along with leading the consulting club and a national level consulting event in our management fest, I feel my ability to keep my feet on two boats and still sail through successfully and smoothly is what makes me stand out from the crowd.   What have you done in your life that you are the most proud of? During my internship with Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), I was assigned a task to come up with a medium to sell coke in areas in NCR where there were no retail outlets. Coke was already being sold in auto rickshaws in Gujrat but the model couldn't be replicated because it wouldn't turn out to be financially viable for the vendor in NCR. I came up with an idea to sell coke via electric rickshaws. Later, I converted this idea into a complete business plan and I was able to convince vendors to set this up. I was involved from working on the financials to designing the rickshaw which we called e-HOGO (Happiness on the Go). The reason why I'm most proud of this achievement is because not only was I able to come up with a feasible and a viable idea but I was also able to execute the same in 1 month. On top of that receiving appreciation from the national sales head of Coke is surely a special feeling :).   If there was one good aspect about your school that you could take back after you graduate -  My learnings from the cases I have read. I strongly feel that the case based methodology if followed properly is the best method of teaching and I still very well remember the learnings from the cases which I liked and which I solved before the class discussion. I feel these learnings would help me in the corporate life in some form or the other.   If there was one thing that you could change about your business school, it would be -  People not speaking up in class. The whole point of case study methodology goes for a toss if students don't participate. Participants are either afraid of sharing their thoughts (because of what people will say) or they simply don't care, whatever be the case the whole purpose of peer learning is defeated.   If you had to open a rival social network to Facebook, what would it be like? Instead of opening a rival network I would become a niche player like a social network only for doctors or lawyers where discussion pertaining to their field of study can take place. It could be like a platform where for instance doctors can discuss patient cases and knowledge transfer can take place.
