Does the red-bricked legacy need any introduction? Probably not.
Every MBA aspirant, irrespective of his calibre or background, can't help dreaming of climbing up the Harvard Staircase and spending time in the Louis Kahn Plaza. It is everybody's dream b-school.
While it can be quite a task getting into the red-bricked b-school, there are enough resources to help you if financing is the main problem.
This week, we bring to you the bunch of scholarships available at IIM Ahmedabad.

Besides the scholarships provided by the Government of India, Alumni, and Industries, IIM Ahmedabad provides several need-based scholarships so that a deserving candidate's financial status doesn't keep him from succeeding in life.
- IIM Ahmedabad Need-Based Scholarship
All students whose gross annual family income is below Rs.15,00,000 in the previous financial year are eligible for this scholarship. The management will decide the financial assistance required for each student based on the various criteria it may deem necessary.

PGP Alumni Endowment Fund
9 students from PGP - I and PGP/FABM - II are endowed with a scholarship ranging from INR 2,00,000 to 3,00,000. They will be evaluated on basis of social and economic backgrounds.
However, it will be expected that the students will contribute at least the similar amount to the same fund in future so that the fund may continue to assist needy students on a perpetual basis.

Peri Viswanath Scholarship
This fund was set up in the memory of Peri Vishwanath, a PGP 2001 student who died in a road accident. It was set up by his batchmates with the aim to help needy students. One student may avail this scholarship to the amount of INR 4,00,000 over both the years of his/her PGP. The candidates are evaluated on merit-cum-need basis.
Again, it is expected that the student will contribute a similar amount towards the fund so that the fund may help needy students on a perpetual basis.

Aditya Birla Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to academically strong students in the first year, and they can continue receiving it in the second year as well if they are among the top 25 students as per the CGPA for the first year. 1 or 2 students may receive this scholarship. Amount received will be INR 1,75,000 per year.
5.
OPJEMS Scholarship
Top 20 students from the second year based on the CGPA of their first year are eligible to apply for this scholarship. They are required to clear a written test and sit for a personal interview. 1 or 2 students may receive this scholarship. The amount received will be INR 1,25,000.
6.
Hindustan Unilever / T Thomas Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a second-year student based on merit-cum-means criteria. The amount paid is INR 1,00,000 per year.
7.
Dunia Scholarships for scholastic excellence
This scholarship is financed by Dunia Finance LLC, Dubai, UAE. It is a merit based scholarship awarded to two students each from PGP - I and PGP - II, every year. The amount per scholarship is INR 1,00,000.
