Established in 1987, the erstwhile HR specialization program of XIMB is today known as The School of Human Resource Management, Xavier University Bhubaneswar.
The HR program aims to equip students with the fundamentals of human resource practices. It follows a comprehensive curriculum that aims to acquaint the students with the present Human Resource Management theory, gain experiential knowledge in the business environments, and ensure ethical and social sensitivity standards essential in every workplace. The course subjects teach the students how to design and formulate various HRM processes such as Recruitment, Selection, Training, Development, Performance Appraisals, and Reward Systems, Compensation Plans, and Ethical Behaviour. Through the program, the candidates transform into competent managers across organizations, domestic or international.
In addition to this, students are provided with a myriad of opportunities to participate in internal research projects, consulting assignments, and organizing student activities within the campus, which allows them to apply their classroom learning in resolving tangible real-world issues. The course goes beyond the classroom and theoretical learning. XAHR, in collaboration with the Tata Steel Adventure Foundation, organizes a four-day learning program that builds teamwork and allows students to triumph fear by allowing them to participate in various adventure exercises.
XAHR 2 year MBA HRM program is a recipient of the Curriculum Alignment Certification from The Society for Human Resources, USA. The conventions and standards followed at XAHR are recognized on the global platform and this certification is a testimony to that fact. The curriculum now stands at par with the global b-school HR curriculum.
