Impact of Aditya Birla Group in my life
Aditya Birla Group is itself very big with reach in 34 countries, strong force of over 120,000 employees, belonging to 42 nationalities. They are world’s 2nd largest in Telecom, world’s top can recycler and no. 1 Fashion Retail in India. In my life, ABG plays a big part. I have been using ABG products since my 10th. I hold an amount in Aditya Birla Mutual Funds. I have a life insurance from ABG. I have been us
ing Idea network since I got my first phone. I have seen my father wear only Allen Solly and Van Heusen shirts. He would at least have 4-5 shirts from Louis Philippe only and is always his first choice when he looks to buy a new shirt or T shirt. Also, the room I am staying would also be most probably an ABG product, as ABG is all around us. A large share of the copper requirement of Indian Railways is fulfilled by Birla Copper.
Also, ABG takes social responsibilities well. The Aditya Birla Group works in 5,000 villages, reaching out to 7.5 million people annually through the Aditya Birla Centre for Community Initiatives and Rural Development.
As said by Mrs. Rajashree Birla, Chairperson Aditya Birla Center for Community Initiatives and Rural Development, Aditya Birla Group continues to stand firm on its vow to “Build a better, sustainable way of life for the weaker sections of society and raise the country’s human development index.”
How I overcame challenges in life.
Well if I were to speak about the challenges that I faced constantly, then I'd go with yielding to herd mentality. This includes peer pressure to allowing mainstream consumerism and allowing anything that has a high following to look legit and attractive to us (even if it's wrong).
I grew up listening to how important engineering was, and it was obvious that people who have an excellent academic score must take Science. Being obsessed with marks, I did take up engineering only to realise that it was not meant for me. I got the campus placements in the college in the core field but did not enjoy working there. That's when I decided to switch my career path and ended up with a Sales job. It was an extremely gruelling process, but ultimately, I learned a ton from it. I got a lot of exposure, and that was one of the reasons why I decided to do my MBA.
People who are part of the herd tend to direct their attention outside of themselves. They believe that success is associated with outward manifestations that can be viewed by others and can also be measured.
