Aditya Birla Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate that has its wings wide spread across various industries like metals, cement (largest in India), branded apparel, chemicals, fertilizers, insulators, financial services, telecom and IT services. Since its establishment in 1857 ABG has laid many milestones and created a great brand value for itself in India and abroad. Aditya Birla Group resonates with “BIG IN YOUR LIFE” and I couldn’t agree less with it. From being a pioneer in cement manufacturer to being a successful fashion capitalist industry I think ABG has become an admissible part of every Indian’s life. Every time I enjoy a long ride on a well laid highway and every time I escape the City’s hustling traffic by mounting on a strong fly over I know ABG made my life amiable in every way it can. Brands like pantaloons and forever 21 have always kept me hooked to their stores in my growing up years. Today as I enter the corporate world clad in a well fitted Van Heusen suit, I can’t be more proud that I am actually wearing an attire that is made in my own home land. ABG has nevertheless declared we Indians do not stand any less in fashion and retail sector in the world. I beam with pride every time I see a foreigner shop in one of my most favorite Indian brands. This is just an example of how ABG could reach to its customers across the globe. Aditya Birla Group is like a family that made comfort very affordable in our lives. Thank you dearest ABG for always being there!
Life is not a bed of roses and nothing comes easy in life. After my graduation I happened to work in a International MNC for about 3 years before I took a turn for my management education. Sometimes in life there comes a point where you think everything is at halt and you retrospect about what is that you actually yearn for in life and I have felt this after working meticulously in the technology sector, Though my work challenged me in many ways I eagerly looked forward to more learning, I soon realised that my true calling lies in something that is more human interactive and that is when I decided I should be pursuing Management education. However that choice came with a price. Working for an American client my work demanded 11-15 hours of my time everyday and I had to commute for more than 3 hours a day. I absolutely had no time to fetch for my preparation for management entrances. So I finally had to take a call and bid adieu to my work after much contemplation. The next few months were very taxing both emotionally and mentally as I had to vest a lot of time to study and there is always an uncertainty in competitive exams. I continued to work hard without loosing faith in myself and my efforts paid off when I could master an admission in a globally reputed B- School like SDA Bocconi Asia Center. When I look back upon myself today I am happy and content that I had the courage to come out of my comfort zone and challenge my capabilities.
