Companies today, promote their products through their brand names to create awareness and position their brand image in the minds of the customers. More often than not, consumers extensively use a particular brand or one of its products in their day to day life but are not aware of the parent company of that brand. Aditya Birla Group is one such conglomerate which has its spread across all kinds of products and services and impacts individuals in all walks of life. However, the variety of daily use products offered by Aditya Birla Group, are only known by the brand name by which they are sold. Many a times, it comes as a surprise to even the most market aware consumers, that the brand they are using is actually a product of Aditya Birla Group. To begin with, the very reason I am being able to right this article by using my mobile's internet over the Vodafone-Idea network is due to the contribution and stake Aditya Birla Group has had in making Vodafone-Idea one of India's largest Telecom operators. Some of the top brands that provide high quality products with a deep sense of comfort and style, are the fashion apparel lines of Aditya Birla Group, namely, Louis Philippe, Allen Solly, Peter England and Van Heusen. Apart from this Aditya Birla Group also owns the Pantaloons Fashion and Retail stores where only in-house products are sold. Pantaloons is a widely famous name among many households. Having spoken about households, the cement used to build a strong and durable building is UltraTech Cement, one of India's famous brands, which is again a product under the Aditya Birla Group of Companies. Aditya Birla Group helps manifold with a variety of Financial Services such as Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Home Loans and more. Aditya Birla Group is the umbrella organization behind the world's largest manufacturers of Aluminium, Copper, Carbon Black and a variety of Textile Fibres. The impact of Aditya Birla Group in our lives cannot be quantified as they are a big name in almost any and every sector that there is. I often wonder how much our lives would have been different if it were not for a Conglomerate like that of Aditya Birla Group and for the kind of work they do to make our lives better. Life is a beautiful journey to every traveller willing to see it through all the way till the end. We as humans have a purpose in life and that is fulfilled only by experiencing all the ups and downs of life. Life is one roller coaster which has more lows than highs but it is up to us to decide how we wish to deal with such obstacles. A successful individual is not one who has done everything perfectly but one who has persevered to overcome every hurdle life put forward. Being a Gujarati, Business is a profession that runs in my blood. My aim to successfully complete an MBA from a prestigious institution was certain, yet the path to reach it was not sure. I took up engineering to explore my options and succeeded in my field. Thereafter, I was faced with the challenge to overcome a variety of entrance exams to be eligible for admission to a B-School. It was a tough ask, as I found it difficult to cope with time management during the exams. Despite that, with sheer practice, diligence and hard work I was able to crack the NMAT exam. Following this, came the task of preparing for Group Discussions and Interviews. Although I have participated in various public speaking competitions, my fear of making mistakes in front of others always makes me nervous. It took a lot of courage for me to overcome this fear of mine and be proactive in all the admission processes which have led me to become a student of NMIMS School of Business Management. One must fight all odds to reach their end goal and achieve their ambitions because when I look back, all I realize is that the journey was worth the effort.
