She turned her can'ts into cans and her DREAMS into PLANS | IIM Rohtak

Most part of my school life has been spent in boarding which introduced me to people from diverse social background. This helped me widen my perspective right from the childhood and made me an individual who can easily get along with people. Extra-curricular activities played a vital role throughout my academic journey. It helped me develop my overall personality. I developed a high interest for programming at a very early age which led me to pursue B. Tech in Computer Science. During my 27 months tenure at Cognizant Technology Solutions I learnt the end to end delivery process of a defect free deliverable. I was also awarded with Icon of the Month award for June 2016.  It was during my under graduation that I realized that my managerial skills dominate my technical skills and I decided to take up a managerial role. Working in B-Factory gave me hands-on experience in event management, public relations handling and managing marketing campaigns. It gave me an insight into how actually a business thrives on ground level. I decided to go for an MBA to learn the nuances of the business world and for the peer learning that the B-school promises to provide.
I love to dance, paint and calligraph in my leisure time. I am a motivated self-starter highly optimistic person who can excel in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance and supervision. The journey to IIM Rohtak was full of highs and lows. Just two months before CAT ’16 I had decided to leave my job thinking that I would do excellent in CAT and will join some good college. My dreams shattered when I saw 78 percentile in my result card. The decision to appear for CAT again was not an easy one but I was all determined to take that leap of faith. From 78 percentile to 95 percentile I had made half of my journey till here. CAP interview had gone excellent for me but to my disappointment I couldn’t convert most of the IIMs. Now, I was left with IMT Ghaziabad, IMI New Delhi or XIMB. It’s said that “when you want something from the bottom of your heart you always end up getting it” and so did I when I got my convert call from IIM Rohtak. Aditya Birla has played a very important role in my life since childhood because my father has been an employee of the group. For one year I went to the Aditya Birla Public school which was one of the golden period in my life. From participating in school cultural festival I got the opportunity to participate and win in Painting and debate competitions. Aditya Birla group is sub consciously part of our everyday life. Amongst the brands I use fashion retail brands are my favourite. Pantaloons is the store that I visit the most with my family. Other commonly used brands include Allen Solly, Forever 21, Louis Philippie, and Van Huesen.
