We all have our moments of misery and desolation. There are times when we all feel like life will never get better. “I can’t deal with this anymore”, a sentence that we encounter every now and then in life. While there is no quick fix for sadness, there are ways to help manage it. One of the ways to cope with despair is by listening to the experiences of others who faced it and got out of it in their own way. These TED Talks each requiring not more than 10 minutes will help you do just that: 1. The Best Gift I Ever Received | Stacey Kramer There are very few people who know to take on any difficulty in life as a positive experience. Stacey Kramer is definitely one of them. This 3 minute TED Talk asks us to consider any life changing struggle as a gift and not to lose hope over it. 2. I'm Not Your Inspiration | Stella Young Stella Young is a journalist that talks about her disability in a lighter tone. It is inspiring to see people who have been challenged physically in life and yet do not let that bother them. This comic TED Talk will remind all of us to be happy no matter what life throws at you. 3. 8 Secrets of Success | Richard St. John This talk by Richard St. John, is one of the most watched TED videos and rightly so. He points out the eight points which are quintessential for success in just three minutes. 4. Don't Suffer From Your Depression In Silence | Nikki Webber Allen According to Nikki, "Depression doesn't always have to be a sign of weakness." The biggest problem about dealing with anxiety is that we consider it to be shameful. This talk teaches us that it's okay to be sad sometimes and it's good to talk about it. Depression isn't something that can be shaken off quietly. It needs to be cured by embracing it and not being silent about it. 5. 7 Rules For Making More Happiness | Stefan Sagmeister Stefan Sagmeister is a designer and not only does he know a thing or two about designing posters and artwork but also about designing happiness. In this TED Talk, he lists out 7 rules that can help anyone achieve happiness. You may also be interested in reading - 5 TED Talks That Every MBA Aspirant Must Watch
