Ms. Mamta Bhatia from SIBM Pune is now the global winner of the Novartis biotechnology leadership camp, organized by Novartis at Basel, Switzerland. Ms. Mamta Bhatia from SIBM Pune was among the 3 students who represented India, by winning the competition at country level held at Hyderabad during August 2016.
At Biocamp2016, Basel- Switzerland, 60 participants (from leading universities across the globe) spanning across 17 countries were competing to win. Ms.Mamta Bhatia from the batch of 2015-2017 of SIBM Pune emerged as the global individual winner of Novartis BioCamp2016.
She now gets an opportunity to intern with Novartis and this internship will be individualized for her. She was also voted the best candidate by co-participants who took part in the event. BioCamp has positively impacted the lives of many young minds. It provides a great opportunity for a broad range of students to interact with leaders in the pharmaceutical industry. BioCamp is open to post-graduate students and young researchers in natural sciences, medicine, biotechnology, bioinformatics, pharmacy, business administration or law (specialisation in Intellectual Property Rights) interested in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. Selected students have the opportunity to learn from and network with leaders in the respective sector as well as hone their team building skills.
