The world is one family, one is a relative, the other stranger, say the small minded. The entire world is a family, live the magnanimous. This very motto of symbiosis international university is inculcated in the campus where an understanding that the whole world is one family permeates through its residents. The uniqueness of my campus, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune (SIBM, Pune), can be seen in following terms, Diversity The campus has a great mix of students from within India and international students, bringing together people of various backgrounds with different life experiences, which helps in generating ideas or perspectives that others may not have ever considered or been aware of, thereby helping in tackling an issue by keeping multiple interpretations and approaches in mind. Together, our differences make a strong, beautiful, symbiosis community.
Student Driven
Campus is student-driven, with students encouraged to participate in the decision-making process that shapes their future and further increases the breadth and depth of learning opportunities. The students feel not only empowered to engage their talents, but also challenged to leave their comfort zones. The ability to embrace new opportunities emerges, in part, from a willingness to take risks and to fail. This helps foster a learning environment focused on the practical application of knowledge, thereby preparing one to solve complex business problems in ambiguous contexts.
Infrastructure
Campus provides state-of-the-art infrastructure to its students. These facilities go a long way in ensuring a productive campus life and providing a perfect backdrop for academic pursuits. The sprawling premises also houses, central library, auditorium, conference hall, canteen, health care centre, area for recreational activities, along with the academic block to ensure all round development of the students. A rising tide doesn't raise people who don't have a boat. We have to build the boat for them. Similarly the basic infrastructure at the campus helps a student to rise with the tide and soar. What makes a campus unique is different for every student. The campus experience and the long lasting takeaways from it are more about what students make of the experience.
