Before the shortlisting for the interview, I was really anxious whether I would get SJMSOM call for interview or not as it was one of my dream colleges and also suited best for my profile. So, when I got the interview call, I was really happy and was really focussed to do well in my interview. I prepared my under-graduation subjects as the interviews at SJMSOM generally tend to be technical and also read newspapers to get a fair idea about the current affairs.
My SJMSOM interview was on 5th March 2022 in the morning slot. I was told to join the gather platform for my interview and I must say that I found the entire process very well coordinated. There were seniors to guide us through each of the processes. After completing my document verification, I was made to go in the waiting room from there I joined the interview zoom call.
There were 3 panellists for my interview out of which 2 were college professors and 1 was an alumnus. The questions in the interview were wide ranging for me from my academics to questions related to my father’s business and some questions were regarding the business model of the Indian sports leagues as I am an avid sports lover. Throughout the interview all the panellists were very supportive and listened to me very carefully. It was a lengthy interview and lasted around 20 minutes but overall, it was definitely a great experience.
After the interview ended, I felt that I have done well in my interview that I have done well and was cautiously optimistic of converting my dream college and my gut instincts have indeed come through and here I am at SJMSOM. One suggestion that I would like based on my experience is that it is okay if you do not know all the answers in the interview but being honest about it will definitely help in the interview.
