PART A
Aditya Birla Group has its presence in almost all industries from construction to retail to financial services and I have associated myself with it several times over the 22 years of my existence. The shopaholic in me has been extremely thankful to the Aditya Birla Group for giving us the services of The Collective and making purchasing merchandise from international brands like Hackett and Ted Baker so convenient and for bringing Forever 21 to India which has made being in sync with the current trends in fashion so easy and affordable .
However , at this stage of my life, the Aditya Birla Group has become more important than ever. Now, that I am away from home and have to pack my own lunch , everytime I use Freshwrapp aluminium foils , it reminds me of my mother and more importantly “maa ke hanth ka khana” for nothing beats food cooked by my mother .
Aditya Birla Group also has a role in my dream being fulfilled . When I had to prepare for my interviews for different business schools, the first thing that came to my mind was Allen Solly . It is in my Allen Solly business suit that I have been through tough interviews and good interviews, that I went places and finally saw my dream of attending Faculty of Management Studies come true.
And lastly , Ultratech cement reminds me of everything my home stands for , the values that have been imbibed in me from the very beginning, to be able to sustain every situation and always stay strong to the values my parents have taught me.
PART B
Throughout the course of my life , I have had several goals and even more obstacles that tried to prevent me from achieving those goals , be it in my academic goals or personal goals. Taking the most recent instance , I wanted to get into one of the top business schools in India and I prepared for CAT but in spite of working extremely hard , I could only get 80 percentile in my first attempt which was demotivating but I decided to not let it come in the way of me achieving my goals and I continued to work hard for another year to finally get an admit into Faculty of Management Studies , Delhi . I took this year as an opportunity to do things I hadn’t done before and to work on my weaknesses .
As a person I like to challenge myself and try and be a better version of myself and I thought the best way to do this was participate in different competitions in different domains so that I could improve holistically . So, I participated in various competitions and saw many failures, even a public humiliation when I could not speak in front of a huge competition but all these failures have made me a stronger person who can deal with situations . I strongly believe that failures are the stepping stones to success as I have learned from my failures and leveraged them to finally achieve my goals. There have been challenges like when my team members quit a week before submission but these challenges have made me better equipped to face the challenged heading my way .
