Aditya Birla Group is such a huge conglomerate that I think no one can go without using one of their products and services. I am no exception. I’ve extensively used their subsidiaries’ products all through my life.I remember the first phone connection I got was Idea and I have very fond memories of my first phone. Talking to my friends for the first time over the phone was such an amazing feeling. Texting the many guys who used to contact me after buying the SMS pack from Idea, my first phone has always had a special place in my heart. And Idea was a big part of it. Growing up, Pantaloons was my favourite place to shop. I used to buy most of my clothes there. I still do a bit of shopping there from time to time. They have always had such a huge collection of clothes in their store that you can easily find something that you like without spending much time. Such Aditya Birla Group’s reach that they also own a lot of clothing brands in India like Allen Solly, Van Heusen, Peter England and Louis Phillipe. In fact, Louis Phillipe is my father’s favourite brand as well. He buys all of his formal shirts and pants from either Louis Phillipe or Peter England. When we were constructing our house back in 2010, we had to pick a cement which would be the foundation of our dream house for so many years to come. We looked no further than Ultratech cement because of our trust in the brand of Aditya Birla Group. Also, when I started my job and had to navigate the world of investments trying to save my tax under form 80C, I was looking at many life insurance companies. I finally settled on Birla Sun Life Insurance as they offered the best services. This is how important the Birla group has been in my life. Just as this business has made an impact in my life, I strive to make an impact in other people’s lives. I’ve loved painting ever since I was a little girl and could barely hold a pencil straight. I went to painting classes to hone my skills and become the best painter that I could be. But soon it became much more than just a hobby for me. I started contemplating how I could impact the world at large with this great skill that I’ve acquired. That is when I decided that I would teach underprivileged children how to paint. Creative skills liberate the minds of kids facing the adversities of the world. They can forget the problems they face everyday and just be themselves when they paint. Such is the power of the arts. So last summer I went to a summer camp to teach underprivileged kids painting free of cost. I have to say that it is one of the most humbling experiences of my life and it’s made me appreciate everything I take for granted. I would love to go back and connect with these kids and see the happiness in their eyes looking at a painting that they’ve made. It is human emotion at its purest. This is how I’ve always wanted to change the world. One kid’s smile at a time.
