When it comes to talking about NITIE, my institute proudly boasts itself as the pioneer in Industrial Engineering wizardry. Held in the lap of nature, surrounded by lush greenery and three lakes is its sprawling 65 acres of campus.
We have a pond which is good to have a stroll by, in the evening, to relieve all the stress from regular day to day activities. The view is very calm and soothing. Everyday journey from our hostels to the academic building takes us beneath a breath-taking canopy of tress over the road which refreshes the mood.
We have state of the art lecture halls, classrooms, library, auditoriums, computer centres, hostels, activity rooms and what not! Take a look from our favourite - ninth floor of taylor hall and you can actually feel how beautiful Mumbai can be. The view, the cool breeze, there is nothing in NITIE that you can feel short of.
Coming to the academics, learning here is completely different, or I must better say it is exactly opposite! You get to have a taste of how practical things are. Better ask Prasad sir. Becho becho seekho…. seekho becho seekho. This was one of the best and probably the most fun learning experience I ever had in my life. Completely different.
We have an event called maha mandi- one of its kind event that takes marketing to the streets where it belongs. It is recognized by Ministry of HRD as a unique educational initiative. Small toys made by NGOs are sold to educate the children. It helps the students learn the technicalities and delicacies involved in marketing.
We also have a fest called Avartan that includes a lot of events and activities like power talks, various sports, cultural activities like dancing and singing, conclaves and much more. We don’t simply call it the ‘God’s own campus’!
Which Aditya Birla Company I would like to work for?
I would like to work for Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited. It will give me a chance to become a part of one of the most prestigious organisations in India. Working with the organisation can provide me ample growth opportunities and a healthy atmosphere to learn. I believe that being a mechanical engineer, and after 2 years into NITIE, I will be well groomed to handle the managerial responsibilities that the organisation has in for me. I want to give my best and contribute towards the growth of the organisation.
