Rushing through the main gate with my breakfast wrapped in freshwrapp aluminum foil at 6.30 am in the morning during school days, I had never imagined that my hard work would take me to the most coveted management B-school, few years hence. Its not just me who carried the burden of my success in that heavy school bag, it was my mother’s hope and aspirations wrapped in form of buttered aloo parantha love in that freshwrapp aluminum foil. Now sitting in my dorm room of IIM Rohtak, I’m reminiscing about how actually Aditya Birla Group and their products have actually played a vital role in making me a success story.
After my graduation from Amity University Noida, I joined Snapdeal as an Application Engineer. A milestone achieved in form of the appointment letter. The first day was crucial to make an everlasting impression. That is where the confusion started. I was torn between the various brands offering awesomely discounted semi-formal shirts like Allen Solly, Van Heusen and Forever 21. The next milestone was achieved 30 days later in form of my first salary. I rushed to the nearest Peter England showroom to get a shirt for my father from my first salary and a suit for my mother from Pantaloons. Shopping as a customer from Pantaloons made me realize how nice it was of them to seek post-shopping feedback. Two years later, sitting with my study group, this incident motivated me to write about the Management Information System of Pantaloons and how they are using it for increasing their sales as a project report. The story continues with my second year of MBA life in IIM Rohtak. I hope to make it big with Aditya Birla Group.
