Summer Internship is the turning point in the life of any MBA student, and it was no different for me. I got to intern at Sulochana Thapar Foundation at Ranchi with the Urban innovative team constantly working upon the development of the municipal officials. Well, we were previously warned by our project officers not to aspire about a typical workplace with your own cubicle to work with as our job demanded us to do research and onsite visits.
So with a settled heart, I reached my internship destination only to realize later that it took me a change of four rickshaws to finally reach my workplace.
Sulochana Thapar Foundation greeted us with a welcome mail containing truckloads of work beeping from our phones as soon as we landed in Ranchi. Times were rushed, deadlines sacrosanct, assignments fast paced and every moment was made to count for. It made me see a very subtle yet very different perspective to work with a purpose.
Our project managers were very approachable in every spectrum and guided us throughout. Weekdays went meeting our targets, while weekends were meant to ideally explore the city and its food cuisines.
I think the last 2 months has now prepared me well to take up challenges and meet deadlines even better than before.
