Adversity faced and how did you cope and what did it teach you?
Success & adversity are an integral part of life and we come across such circumstances at every point of time. I have faced a tough time in 2016 due to the loss of 3 of my close relatives. Being in final year of B.Tech. I had to maintain my cgpa, also focus on competitive exams and sit for placement activities and interviews. Sudden and untimely deaths left our family traumatized and we were not able to accept the situation. My parents had to travel back and forth to our hometown and I had to manage to live alone and attended classes, assignments, competitive exams and took care of domestic chores. During all this I also got sick with typhoid right during the exam and had to take injections twice a day for 15 days. Somehow I recovered in a month. Since it was in the middle of my exams I could not perform as per my satisfaction but I tried my best to face the exam. Since my mental and physical well being were both at stake, it was a tough task to recover from the trauma and from the sickness. My family and friends were a great support to me and they always encouraged me to work harder even in such an adverse situation. We all realized the importance of family. It taught me to appreciate life and how each day is so important and should be utilized to its full. I also realized that staying healthy, eating well and exercising also contributes to our well being. I learned that it is essential to have courage and positive attitude under such adversity to overcome the problems and with consistent efforts, we can reach close to our goals. Now I value each day and every person around me more than I used to and I realized that some things are not in our control but if we are persistent and consistent, we can push ourselves and our loved ones through any situation.
How did any Aditya Birla group has changed my life?
Aditya Birla group is one of the most prestigious Indian multinational which caters to a wide range of needs of their customers ranging from leading fashion brands like Allen Solly, Peter England, Forever 21 etc., to a leading cement manufacturer as Ultratech Cement, to agriculture produce, poultry and sugar production, to the finance sector with and many more. It affects the day to day life of a large number of individuals not only in India but also abroad. Like every other citizen of our country the Aditya Birla group has affected the daily choices that I make whenever I need a good or service. Sometimes we don’t even realize that the brand we are using also comes under the Aditya Birla Umbrella. Being the youth, we aspire to achieve big and the Aditya Birla group’s journey taught me how to multitask, expand and be the best at what we do. It also inspired me to understand the importance of balancing between business, earnings and social responsibility as most of the business houses in today’s era just concentrate on minting money but the Aditya Birla group helps farmers, small businesses, students etc. regularly. it teaches the importance of customer satisfaction and how the customer base can increase manifold across industry lines when the quality and service is great. Loyal customers are an asset and The Aditya Birla group has managed to maintain that reputation in the large set of customers. It inspires me to think of a start-up that I can initiate in future which can work on the ideals of The Aditya Birla group, though it is difficult to achieve the scale of market penetration since it is huge but working on the same lines can help a start-up to make a strong foundation for the years to come. The impeccable knowledge and vision of the management provokes the youth to widen their horizon and to dream big and work harder.
