I believe that It’s not our skills but the fire inside us that fuels our passion. I have faced some challenges in my journey towards the present. I was working as an Accounts manager 2 years back. I always wanted to pursue a management course since I wanted to hone my leadership skills and get an exposure to the corporate lifestyle. However, leaving a job in hand to pursue another Masters degree (I’ve done Masters in Commerce) was never an easy decision. My parents were highly sceptical that another Masters degree would add anything to my profile and advised me to focus on what I have and where I am. But I wanted to get out of my comfort zone. My aim was to work at a conglomerate, obtain diverse corporate exposure and make justice to my abilities. I WANTED TO GO BIG. Therefore, I went with the decision to appear for MBA entrance exams in 2017. I had to manage my job along with the preparation for the exams. I started attending tuitions at night after my office hours and started working on Sundays to make up for the lost hours and pending work. I struggled during the month of September when the Annual Audits were being carried out and  I had to stay back at my office to finalise the accounts and prepare final drafts of the Financial Statements. But my sheer will and determination helped me in sailing through and I made my way to the most prestigious B-schools of India. In a nutshell, all we should do is stand tall in the wake of challenges and believe in that fire inside us. That fire guides us. That Fire makes us BIGGER, BETTER and STRONGER.

Why Aditya Birla Group is big in your life

A 4th generation and 150-year-old conglomerate, Aditya Birla Group has now forayed into more than 15 sectors and 20 countries. For me, Aditya Birla Group makes a big impact in especially 2 sectors-  Fashion and Telecom. A few years back it entered the online fashion retail arena through ABOF with a targeted audience of millennial customers by offering curated fashion products. The timing of ABG’s entry into the segment could’ve not been better since the industry is booming and offers high margins. Its presence in brick and mortar fashion stores through Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail only meant that the offline king is now going to dominate the online fashion arena as well. The 2 things I love about ABOF are – About the newly merged Vodafone-Idea, even when its market share has reduced and the margins are under tremendous pressure, I think that Idea’s focus on next-gen 4G and 5G networks by deploying MIMO on a massive scale and using HetNet will keep them ahead in connecting billions of customers of India at a fractional cost and minimum downtime. Such futuristic strategy under stressful times is a visionary approach which forms the backbone of Aditya Birla Group. Though ABG has made a big impact in our day-to-day lives, I think that in a few years, it will be the Aditya Birla Group that’ll HIT IT BIG.
