How ABG Impacted My Life:
Started in 1857 by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla, The Aditya Birla Group (ABG) now operates with more than 1.2 million employees worldwide. In India, ABG has been putting significant impressions on the lives of millions of people. It has also impacted my journey in a similar way as those of millions of happy faces across the nations who have been the part of the ABG family. I can still remember the very first Product under ABG was the Ultratech Cement which stated "it is the Engineer’s choice!", and being an engineer it's my choice too because when it comes to customer satisfaction Ultratech cement is the obvious choice. Being a gadget geek, I got my first mobile phone in the year 2010 and also bought the idea sim, I was surprised to know that it was the part of ABG. After knowing a little about ABG, I was curious to know what else was part of ABG and was surprised by the results! Down the timeline when malls became common shopping centers for clothes, I went to many brands in search of formals and casuals too and some brands like Louise Phillipe, Van Heusen suited my style very well. After a few months, I got to know that all these awesome brands are part of the ABG group. I was awestruck! After this, I had even more respect for ABG as this group was delivering awesome quality products for a very long time in various sectors. Therefore, Aditya Birla Group influences all our lives. The biggest takeaway from this story is that you can change the world bit-by-bit through one little deed at a time. Aligned with the Aditya Birla Group’s vision to be a premium global conglomerate, the leadership team has been critical in helping expand the Group’s footprint and to secure numero uno status in many of its businesses, and that will be a great opportunity to work with such an esteemed group.
How I Faced My Challenges:
There are many events in my life where I faced difficulties and got through but there is one which I would like to elaborate on. It was time when monsoon was at its best in the year 2014, Football world cup year it was. I was playing football along with my friends, it was raining heavily, and when the match was about to get over, my left leg got stuck on the ground and as I moved, I twisted my knee due to the blockage. That night I couldn't sleep, the very next day I went to a doctor and there I got to know that I had a ligament tear injury on my left knee which took nearly a whole year to heal. As in the year 2014, I joined my undergraduate college and there were so many things I didn't want to miss out on so I had two options either to go for the surgery or take the physiotherapy sessions for the whole year so I went with the physiotherapy one. The challenge which I faced was, my college was nearly 40 km away from my home and daily I had to go to college via a local train. It was a big challenge for me to take it as my knee was covered by the knee cover as recommended by the physician that too was heavy and I was directed to take the rest, but I still wanted to pursue my studies. I lost my patience as the pain was too much to bear. But then I saw some little kids traveling daily same distance just to get the potable water for their family. That motivated me in many ways like I felt my problem is tiny when I saw it and I wanted to become someone who can make this society a better place for them. That's when self-motivation kicked in, I attended all the physiotherapy sessions regularly without missing any college classes. Small daily improvements over time lead to stunning results. And that is my way of taking challenges in life. Things work out best for those who make the best of how things work.
