When I was a kid, I would hate dressing up.  Every morning would be a struggle for me to wake up and get dressed up for school. I wouldn’t have much of an interest in dressing up for any event, be it parties or functions. It has always been my parents who have emphasized on the importance of dressing up to an occasion. But soon after I realized how important dressing appropriately could be. Many studies show that the clothes you can wear, can affect your mental and your physical health. The kind of clothes you wear reflects your personality and gives you confidence. Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd has contributed immensely to this aspect of my life. Wearing clothes from ABFRL, has given me a lot of confidence in various formal occasions. Forever 21 is my go-to brand for all the kinds of informal and casual clothes I wear. I am currently pursuing my MBA at Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi. Two years of MBA requires quite a lot of formal wear, which I did not have before joining this college. I did all the necessary formal wear shopping from Van Heusen and Allen Solly as these were the only two formal wear brands that catered to my requirements. They have a wonderful collection of blazers, formal shirts and trousers. The staff were cordial and welcoming too. All in all, I feel that the Aditya Birla Group has played a huge role in my life and has been instrumental in my success. When I was studying abroad, my parents had to leave to India due to an unforeseen situation in the family during my 10th standard Board examination. I had to stay at our friends’ place and attend the exams. In this dire situation, I stayed strong and focused with resolve and continued my examination. It was quite difficult for me to adjust to this sudden change in scenario but I had to cope with it to do my exams well. I got good results in my examination which added to my confidence that I could deliver in adverse situations without losing focus in achieving my objectives. When I succeeded at getting an admission in the premiere institution of College of Engineering Guindy for my Bachelors in Engineering, I was confronted with the challenge to live by myself in a city far away from my family. Though it was quite difficult for me, I converted this into an opportunity to make myself more independent, responsible and decisive. This had a large impact on the development of my personality and behavior. Living by myself in the college campus along with new people, I had to be adaptive and also manage all my personal requirements while controlling my spending within the money provided to me. I also developed the skill of being planned and well organized as I had to balance both my personal chores and academics. I realized that I was doing well since I could score good grades while managing all my requirements independently.
