Mahantesh: Tell us in brief how you prepared for summer placement interview?
Hutanshu: Well, the first step before going for an interview is to have an impressive resume that accurately reflects your skills and competences. Thus, I consulted with my seniors, especially with those who have a similar profile. After curating my resume, I went through the previous summer placement experience of my seniors which were made readily available to us by PRISM. Thanks to the PRISM team for creating and maintaining the plethora of interview experiences.
M: What is the summer internship process like for the RPG group?
H: RPG group conducted two PIs for the selection process, and questions were primarily focused on the latest industry trends and my previous experience.
M: What are the reasons you think you cracked the interview?
Well, I think that my ability to answer the questions based on the tacit knowledge I gained from my previous experience and the books like ‘The Goal,’ ‘Necessary But Not Sufficient’ helped me to receive the offer for the summers.
M: Tell us about your day to day work as an intern at the company
H: My typical day involved meeting members of the cross-functional team and going through a plethora of research reports to gain a deep understanding of the problem statement and derive actionable insights.
M: What did you do right to achieve the PPO?
H: Upon receiving the project, the first thing we [my project mentor, buddy and me] did was that we formulated the objectives. Then, we defined the measurement criteria for each objective to keep ourselves on the right track. I feel that this systematic approach helped us to achieve the desired results.
M: What are the most cherishable moments of your internship?
H: My whole internship was quite a journey full of excitement and learning. However, if I were to mention one of the most cherishable moments of my journey then it would be being able to present my work to the top brass of the group And winning- ‘Best Summer Intern’ title at Arjuna awards conducted by the group.
