It has been a tradition in our family to go shopping for every occasion together to Pantaloons in Mumbai and get all of our clothes. Eventually, I came to know that pantaloons belongs to the Aditya Birla Group. My house is built using Ultra Tech cement. I am using Vodafone service on my phone. I often shop for Van Heusen and Peter England shirts. Every product that I chose in my life had one thing in common, it was a part of the Aditya Birla Group.
As its tagline says, ABG is truly taking India to the world. I have always been a critic of the products made in India. There was a social stigma that Indian products have inferior quality. Only a few years later, when I started using ABG products that I realised that the quality of a product does not depend on where it is made, it depends on who is making it. Since then, I have been a loyal customer of ABG and it has never disappointed me. Being from a middle-class family, ABG has given me luxuries that I thought I could never afford.
I am also a true believer that everyone should contribute to the upliftment of society. Corporate Social Responsibility is a term widely claimed but rarely meant. I applaud ABG for taking CSR seriously and making heartfelt efforts to help the needy. The impact ABG has made by taking social welfare initiatives in healthcare, education, women empowerment, and sustainable livelihood is truly remarkable. It shows that the company is beyond business and has the best interests to make a better world for everyone. I am truly proud to be a customer of ABG.
How I overcame a tough challenge in my life
I would like to tell the most important story of my life which I think needs to be mentioned here .So the instance from my life is the most recent and the turning point of my life. I’m very passionate and enthusiast towards my health that’s why I eat healthy mostly and aim at perfecting my body to better itself with each day as I’m into bodybuilding. But in January when I was coming from office I was feeling uneasy I couldn’t eat and just went to bed. In night when I went to washroom I puked and it was all blood in it. Considering the severity of the moment and I went to the hospital first thing in the morning. Taking into account of my situation the doctor did the preliminary tests. And I was diagnosed with tumour. Considering the need of the hour the doctor admitted me then and there and my friends informed my family about my condition. The doctor recommended surgery as it was necessary to remove the 6mm tumour . It was very emotional and heart-breaking scenario for me ,as I was preparing for corporate beach bodybuilding competition for Infosys. I was broken my health was deteriorating as surgery couldn’t be performed immediately as the tumour was blocking the nerves which connect the brain to the spinal cord if it was to be performed results could had been catastrophic. So we waited , in the meanwhile I lost around 8kgs of muscle mass and a lot of blood in the span of fortnight. I was told I couldn’t go to gym for 3 months, my world was falling apart I didn’t knew what to do . As bodybuilding was not only a passion for me but a way of life which I chose . As the day of surgery was coming close I had already lost all my muscles and my platelet count also reduced then normal. Now question arises what kept me going and how I overcame all this? I have a loving family and great friends whom I can count on anyday. I used to give training and nutrition tips to more

As the day of surgery was coming close I had already lost all my muscles and my platelet count also reduced then normal. Now question arises what kept me going and how I overcame all this? I have a loving family and great friends whom I can count on anyday. I used to give training and nutrition tips to more than 15 clients. I made their journey mine ,their progress as my own. I used to make workout routine for my client based on their goals some wanted to loose weight, some wanted to gain weight. I tracked their progress and made sure they don’t deviate from their goals. Also I made customised meal plans taking in account whether they are veg or non-veg. Their before and after pictures used to give me satisfaction. Because of my consulting I was able to change many people’s life .
They made changes to their life and way of eating . It was kind of sense of satisfaction and content. Along this was happening the D-day came I underwent my surgery which was conducted in two days span as on the first day things got out of hand and it got complicated. So had to postpone it for the following dy. After 48 hours in Icu and surgery they finally took the tumour out . Everyone around me was in joy. I was on anaesthesia so I came into conscious the following day . Then I went back to my home . I gave my interviews for mba colleges in such state . I wasn’t even allowed to lift any weights. But then came the month of May and after consulting my surgeon I started my passion my way of life again. I went to gym again and took it on myself to transform in a month. I gave my blood, sweat and tears in the gym .that was my place of worship.
In the beginning it was difficult as for 3 months I hadn’t lifted any weights leave exercise for that matter. But I took one day at a time and went about it. Slowly I started to see changes I gained 7 kgs weight and 2 kgs of pure muscle mass. Then I joined IMT Ghaziabad even in this busy schedule being on heavy medication I still keep track of my diet and go to gym first thing in the morning. Because for me gym is not a task it’s a way of life.
