Why ABG group is big in my life :
As a young kid who wished to look dapper every time I go out, fashion and retail was everything to me. I can distinctly remember my first visit to an ‘Allen Solly’ store. That could have been the weirdest version of me till date I would say, at any place. I guess my eyes popped out drooling over the ‘bestest’ of collections and I can proudly say that ‘Allen Solly’ was my first ever branded shirt. It was just the beginning. The day before joining college, I was in a Pantaloon store getting my wardrobe ready and you can imagine how much of it has been a part and parcel of my life.
Recalling ‘UltraTech cement’, advertisements are something that comes rushing in. It blended really well in the minds of every Indian imparting a feeling of nostalgia, emotional attachment just like it belonged to them. While asking you to ‘Add Colour to those Who Make your Dreams Beautiful’, you know how ABG wants to go beyond an advertisement to bring in a drive to create a change. Definitely, I was one among them to be inspired. Maybe, who knows, that could have been the inspiration in developing an entrepreneurship idea. These are the little things that can create a difference in the minds of millions of people out there. Above all, I challenge, you can’t find a house under construction without the presence of ‘Ultra Tech Cement’, at least in my hometown.
What i did different :
It’s the story of the time when I started preparing for IIT-JEE. Being from a small town, I had not much heard about IIT-JEE. It was when I read the news of a person, who had cracked IIT-JEE in the vicinity of our area, featured on the front page of the newspaper, I came to know about IIT-JEE.
It was the time when I had passed out from 12
th class. I had no idea where to go and no one to guide me as my parents aren’t much educated. But I always wanted to do something different, something big. So I decided to prepare for IIT-JEE.
I took a gap of one year after my 12
th and took admission in a coaching class. It used to take one hour to reach the institute and one hour to return. At the beginning itself, I realized it’s not a cakewalk to crack IIT-JEE because it’s not just me that is ready to work hard there are many others like me who have the same dream and are ready to walk extra miles to achieve their dream. At first, I felt disheartened. But here came the power of determination. I was determined to fight it out and so were my family.
As Yuval Noah Harari says,
“It’s not the individual that is powerful. It’s the ability of homo sapiens to work collectively as a group that makes us most powerful species”. . My parents didn’t give me any extra work so that I could focus only on my studies. My teachers guided me about how to plan my study. And so, I worked hard.
In the month of March, I appeared for the exam of IIT-JEE and guess about the result. Yes, I cleared IIT-JEE. And if I can clear it, I believe anybody can. It’s just the degree of want and if it’s high, the whole universe would conspire in helping you to achieve it.
