PART A- Why Aditya Birla Group Is Big In Your Life
Aditya Birla Group holds a very close name in my life. I have seen it since my childhood and it forms a huge chunk of my memories that I have from my schooldays. The reason behind the same is Freshwrap. The most memorable time of the day during a normal school life is lunch. That’s when friends who are otherwise separated by seating arrangements, meet. And during the days, one thing that I used to be very proud of was the aluminium foil that my mother used to wrap my lunch in. It imbibed a sense of pride in me somehow. I remember how I used to flaunt the Freshwrap that my lunch came in. Now that I look back, I realize that maybe it was not the most sensible thing that I felt, but every time I recall the memories, it brings back positive vibes. I feel attached to the brand because of the memories it created for me which were all beautiful throughout.
Not only Freshwrap, the association with other brands likes Pantaloons and Van Huesen has been long. The three years of work experience, and one and a half years at IIM demanded formal wear to be a permanent part of my wardrobe. Van Huesen always came to my rescue there.
Aditya Birla Group is really a very big part of my life and has been like a constant companion.
PART B- How Have You Made an Impact?
My life has been nothing less than a typical sitcom. I have had a bumpy ride. But everything that I am living now was worth all the trouble. I initially lived my life with the lack of the most basic amenities. I had to struggle throughout the years for quality education, and despite the difficult situations in the family, my father ensured that I got the best of it. I was too young when I understood the gravity of the issues that my father was dealing with. I decided to take up a part time job, along with school education so as to support my father’s efforts of getting me good education. I was in the 11
th standard when I started teaching students from my locality. Whatever little I earned, I gave it all to my father. Neither did I let my attention away from studies. I kept my focus but did not score well in the 12
th standard. I later on went to complete my graduation in engineering and then worked for 3 years in Tata Consultancy Services. I still felt that I did not do justice to my parents’ efforts so as to see me do well in studies. After all the work experience, I felt something missing. That is when I decided to write CAT. I put in all my best efforts and as luck would have it, ended at IIM Rohtak. After I saw my conversion mail, I felt a sense of relief and the satisfaction that I got was unparalleled. My story so far was hence, worth every trouble I dealt with!
