"A girl fully drunk and lying in her own vomit in private boys’ hostel with no one willing to take responsibility." I hope I got your attention, to know more keep reading. This Story/incident takes place in the 2nd year of my college days and is about a very close friend of mine. Let's name her 'G' for anonymity. It all started with a call from G's roommate at around 4:30 in the evening. She said or, rather, just informed me that G is in a boy’s PG and she is really intoxicated. But there was a twist; this girl had also called G's parent and told them that she is with Himanshu (me). There were all kind of emotions and adrenaline rushing through my veins. I asked the exact location of the hostel she was in and went there along with my roommate. I haven't had that much experience with alcohol at that point in time. When I reached there, 'G' was lying on the floor with vomit all over the floor as well as on her, that scene was really horrifying. She comes from a very reputable family and hasn't touched alcohol till then, so she wasn't able to handle it. I gathered every bit of information from the guy whose room was that after putting G on a bed. His dad was calling on her phone repeatedly; I somehow managed the courage to talk to him. "You will be inside the nearest jail in next 24 hours" - those were the exact lines from his father. I tried explaining to him how things were, but he was not ready to hear anything. I called one of our mutual friends (let’s call him B) and explained everything. A quick search on Google told me that lime juice was good way to get someone sober. We rushed to the nearest vegetable shop and got some lemons. G came into senses partially after that. Our college is very strict regarding girls' safety. There were many restrictions imposed on them one of which was that they are not allowed to be outside campus after 6 o'clock. This was the biggest challenge In front of us as college will blacklist any girl who doesn't adhere to these rules. Currently it was around 6 but G wasn't even able to stand properly, let alone walk. So, we came up with a solution. I called one of my female friends in the hostel and asked her to inform warden that 'G' has encountered a bike accident and she'd come late (around 7:30). Meanwhile we kept 'G' really hydrated as this is also advised on Google. After that, we went to a medical shop and bought some bandages, gauze and red ink. Three of us tied the gauze on her right elbow and right knee along with ink to make our story believable. After around one hour of drinking lime juice and water, G was finally able to stand but her gait was still of a drunken person but that's okay as we are pretending that she is wounded. Finally, after a lot of mints and perfume, we were able to help her go inside the campus with shoulder support from both sides. We were able to get inside the campus with G till her hostel as B knew the security guard very well. After a lot of explanation to the girl’s hostel’s warden, everything was sorted out from the college side and she didn’t get blacklisted. The warden called her parents and informed them everything but they were already on there way to the college and didn't say anything to the warden. We took a breath of relief and came back at around 9 o'clock. This surely was one  of the most stressful 4 hours of my life till now. P.S. - Her parents came next day, and a lot of things happened, but that story is for some other day.
