But there are very few industry like Aditya Birla Group, which is so massive and diversified that we can feel their presence in every aspect of our life. Aditya Birla group US $44.3 billion conglomerate and active in 14 industry sectors and has achieved global and national leadership in several sectors.
Aditya Birla Group impacting me and many others like me at each and every point of my life, starting from kitchen and from my school days, Hindalco’s ‘Freshwrapp’ which I like so much and for so many years. Credit goes to their product for keeping the taste of our tasty food that made so happy those days. Next comes the fashion and fashion means Pantaloons. Pantaloons opened its first outlet in Pacific mall, Dehradun in 2013 and Pantaloons factory outlet near Camac street was the first outlet in Kolkata. I still remember my first day at Pantaloons. Family shopping was never so easy, fun and enjoyable. I loved those designer wear for me and for my families; Pantaloons had everything.
When I was in school my house was built. I saw a truck full of ‘Ultratech’ cement was kept in front of our plot. Our house was built by Ultratech cement. When I was in school I saw my father investing in share and stocks , I didn’t had that much of idea then but I remembered one incident when Ultratech Cement's stocks were hovering below 1000 rupees per share before 2010, my father left no chance to grab them. The result is that the value increased to about 5 times within a decade and we got a great return. And that's the trust Aditya Birla Group gave us. Irrespective of age, gender and community we Indian have that trust and dependency on Aditya Birla group.
We feel their presence everywhere.
MY STRUGGLE AND SUCCESS
I belong from a middle class family. Like others, I have faced many difficulties throughout my life and facing till today also. I am a student of a semi government Bengali medium school. As I was introvert in nature my friend and close friend circle was very small. They first challenge I faced when I got admission into one of the premier private engineering college in west Bengal. I was very much afraid because I found everyone was way smarter than me. But my views started changing when I topped in my class. I regain my confidence on me. I was selected CR of my class. My life started changing right from then.
In fourth year I got placed into one of biggest US based IT giant in the world. I am an electrical engineering graduate. When I have joined the company I realized no one cares of my degree and my electrical engineer tag. I started working on that subject which I have hated the most in my college life, “coding”. I got my project on database. By the time I started loving this subject. As the time goes on I excelled. Received the best employee award and at the same time I have completed my IBM Database certification. One thing I have realized, I am trainable and determined.
‘Time or tide wait for none’- in order to get more exposure and more opportunities I wrote CAT to do MBA. In first shot I was selected in XIMB. Now, as a student of one the best b school in India when I look back my those school days I can’t find that introvert me sitting on the corner of a last bench. What I have done? Nothing but pushed me out of comfort zone. Everyone faces struggle in their life but what makes us unique is our attitude towards that problem. I have choose right paths till now but I need to go more.
